Ninerdude's Bio

Originally from Placerville, California, I mountain bike, ski, fly fish, backpack, canyoneer, ice climb, ride dual sports and snowmobiles, love photography, trail running, and road cycling although texting drivers are making me wonder about the future/my future.

I have an awesome wife (25 years) and 4 kids who I try to drag along on adventures.

I got the Alibi pant 3 months ago. I have used them exclusively for ice climbing over the past 6 weeks. Great fit, and the softshell fabric is awesome, waterproof, and warm. They allow effortless movement compared to Goretex shells I have used in the past. I spent two days in some talus below the ice wall while climbing. They seem to wear well. No tears or rips. The scuff guard is also tough. A riveted boot lace hook at the bottom front of each leg allows you to hook the pants to the laces on your boot eliminating the need for Gaiters.

As indicated in a previous review, they do not have zippers for vents, but OR does not say these have vents, so I am not sure it is a fair critique. They seem to breath pretty well. I love them.
