Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

These are great boots but there are a few things to consider. They are extremely breathable for a gore tex product so winter hiking can be a little cold. The arch support is high and designed to be used for running so light walking can be somewhat irritating on the middle arch and when standing still. The laces seem to keep coming undone also but they are long enough to double the knot. Mine do not have the traction on the pic. much less knotty and more like a sneaker. Keep that in mind for rocky and slippery surfaces.

These are great if you can get them on sale. The stretch gives you great movement no matter your position. The material is durable. I got a little too close to the fire and instead of a hole I got a melted plastic like hardening so they are totally still usable. Great pants if you don't mind the weight.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this for 4 season use thinking that the large opening would provide enough ventilation to reduce condensation. I was wrong. At 20 deg temps with the opening totally open I still got a lot of condensation. This would be a good choice for 3 season use but the tight confinement for cold weather use will get your bag wet no matter what. Other than that the bivy is well constructed. I don't like that its not free standing and to get it to set up you need to steak it down in at least 6 places. Time consuming.
