Nick Chmurawrote a review of Outdoor Research Mt Baker Shell Gore-Tex Mitten on February 4, 2016
Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: Runs large
I had been looking for a while for a tough waterproof shell mitt to use as a flexible layer on my hands -- something that I could use by itself or with liners in warmer weather, or over heavier gloves in colder weather. These are perfect! They are tough like you would expect as a Gore-Tex shell -- suitable for use in any kind of harsh winter weather. But they are light, compact, and thin. By themselves they won't provide much insulation, which allows you to use them in warmer weather. They are sized large, and I can wear a heavy glove under these in colder weather and winter camping when the temps are far below freezing.
I got a size large, and that allows me to fit a full medium-sized Marmot Lifty glove inside them easily.
