Anyone know if this comes with the rear antibott?
I'm actually really happy with this harness. It's not the lightest, nor the most padded. It's adjustable, has four gear loops, plus a chalk-bag loop, plus a full strength haul loop, plus it's pretty cheap. There's a lot of features for the cost.
What I like most is how the waist belt fits in the rear. Feels very flat and supportive when I move. The padding could be wider on the leg loops, but honestly the harness feels like a much higher end model when you get down to business, so my issues with it aren't big enough to look for something else. I might look at a Camp Air for lighter weight, but this is a great harness for the money.
caused my jacket to wet-through in random patches the first time I wore it out shoveling in a wet snow. On the stomach, on "one" shoulder, on all zipper covers, and the underside of both cuffs. Part of me wants to wish this was the Dry.Q membrane doing its magic and actually breathing... but I had my pit-zips cracked open, so I'm pretty sure it was just a MH qc issue. Other than that it's a solid shell, plus I love the royal color. I didn't get mine from backcountry, fyi, and I only go three-stars because I don't like having to reapply a dwr finish on a new jacket. Oh well.
How packable is this coat compared to the Baffin Jacket or something like a Patagonia Nano-Puff? I imagine "not quite as..." but I wonder if it's close enough to not make a difference. Thanks!
