Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

On a hot summer dry night this tent rocks. However, in the rain you'll get plenty of water in your tent. The floor that lifts up just a couple iches on the sides is not enought to keep out rain. I have tried this tent a few times in light overnight rain. No matter how I position the cover I always wake up with a puddle of water inside my tent.

My advice is to get the regular Big Agnes UL2 instead of the Platinum version.

I have both this Stoic tent and the Stoic Suite 4. The 2-man tent is fantastic for my son and I to share on our weekend backpacking trips. It is very light at only 4 lbs and super well made. Seems and overall construction is top quality all around. This is also a great size 2-man tent with room for both of us and our gear. The Suite 4 is also an incredible tent but only useful standard camping due to the 15 lb weight. These Stoic tents are well worth the investment.

Super light and small. This is the perfect jacket to throw in your backpack and use when a light rain hits or it just gets a little chilly at the end of your hike. I can't believe how durable it is too for such a lightweight jacket. Great job Stoic!

I have both the 30 degree and 15 degree bags. They are super light and work great. I took the 15 degree back out when it dropped below 10 degrees and stayed comfortable all night (used a liner too). My only concern is the zipper placement. Sometimes when it's warm I like to lay on top of the bag. Those zippers just are aweful on your back if you even like to stay on top of the bag (warmer nights of course). I eventually gave these two bags to my son and replaced mine with the Marmot Plasma 30 and 15 bags. All great sleeping bags that all incredibly warm and light.

I got tired of looking for a rock to hammer in my backpacking tent spikes. At only 3 oz I decided to throw this little hammer in my backpack for overnight hikes. This thing is the perfect size for gently pounding in those lightweight tent spikes without hurting your hand. Okay, this is not the intended purpose of this hammer but it works PERFECT fror me just to have a super lightweight mini hammer in my ultra light backpack.

I finally decided to make the investment to buy 7 pairs of these socks at $16 per pair. The sticker price of these socks is steep but I must say they are the BEST socks ever. They wear incredibly well. I also just finished a half marathon and my feet feel great. No blisters or hot spots. These are socks that will hold up very long especially if you wash them inside out like instructed. Simply put... these are the BEST socks money can buy.

Finally decided to buy this bag when the price dropped to $40. Wow. It is well made and durable. I am using this now as my storage and carry bag to port my Stoic 4-man Dome Tent. This tent is super-easy to carry to campgrounds in the Large Stoic Duffle especially love the backpack straps for hauling the big tent.

I initially bought one pair to give these a try. Oh my gosh... these are the most comfortable pants on the planet. I just bought two more pairs. I have been loyal to North Face pants for 10 years but now these are my #1 favorite all-around pants. Sorry North Face but Stoic is a much better quality product.
