Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I make my own tree straps using polyester webbing, but got these as a gift and really like them. They are made of polyester (so they don't stretch), unlike the slap straps that are made of nylon and stretch quite a bit. If you are new to hammocking or don't want to make your own gear, then these are a great option.

If the charm does not use the quick connect system it could. All camelbaks use 1/4" ID tubing so if you removed the bottle attachment (blue piece) you could hook it up to your hydration bladder, though the tube length is only 31"

Does the shower kit actually have the same size tubing inner diameter as the msr hydration kit? It is hard to believe that the spigot on the shower only has a 1/4" opening to fit the 1/4" tubing. That wouldn't seem to put out a heavy flow. I too would like to get quick disconnects for my dromedary setup.
