though the lines have changed slightly for a waistband that seems to have been inspired by a roaring 20s bathing suit or a barber shop pole. though far more troublesome to this economic nationalist (lower case e-n), the "made in" tag says China. had I been clued in about the latter I would've moved on.

(as related by six month old Nicholas) his gummy, slightly suggestive smile said it all. once Nicky donned his fleecy new pantaloons for the first time, sonny boy expressed an out-of-the-blue interest in pursuing a a career as a guanaco herder in Patagonia. or becoming the fourth BeeGee, should they ever reunite.

the Kate Moss of briefs: my new SWIX are shapely, but verging on distressingly anorexic. specifically, the wafer-thin fabric and overall quality are not the stuff of Backcountry.com. hell, they're not even the stuff of Target.
