First of all, customer service is awsome! Thank you!
Have been wearing my Patagonia coat for 6 weeks now & meant to brag on it a lot sooner! I could not be happier with the warmtn it provides and the shape. Wonderful detail: the zipper works from two sides, so you can create a slit at the bottom for brisk walking or more air. In regards to sizing: I am 5'.6", arround 135lbs w/ fairly wide shoulders - love size M. First I had ordered a size S and was surprised how narrow it was cut, especially since I read all the previous reviews about sizing. Also, when the coat sits too tight, as in S on me, the arms tend to ride up with every move. With a thick sweater underneath I felt like a saussage in casing. My recommendation would be, unless you are very small or petite, do not get the S.
About color!!: I ordered a grey and want you to know, the shade on the website does not match reality, in fact it's a different color of a medium to darker grey. I could not believe the difference. It was a surprise I had to get used to, but then embraced this shade. The only other thing I could wish for, would be a slightly larger hoody -for women with a big head and lots of hair. Some previeous reviews spoke about the buttons being flimsy. They do give that feel at first, since the material/fabric is thin and I tend to open them carefully, as not to create too much pull on the fabric because they do snap very tight. However after getting used to opening and closing them it seems to be easy and no damage so far. Last word about the zipper: it needs to warm up to you- give it some use. Main overall plus: it's warm, yet light and stylish!Great buy for years of use. Love this coat!
PS. Also, I think it's great that this coat keeps people wondering who makes this product!- no pretentious verbage, just a small name on the sleeve, hardly visible.
