Familiarity: I've used it several times

Awesome. Fit is excellent (Large is EXACTLY a Hestra 10 fwiw) and goes right down between fingers to give you that non-bulky feel, especially between the thumb and pointer for gripping ski poles. Also wool front insulation keeps it's R value even when your clammy paws moisten things up a bit and hasn't packed out at all so far. Great padding on the knuckles, glove wears very cozy and the double-cinching cuffs are freakin' awesome.

For the money, you simply cannot get a better glove. In fact, my Skier Cross Hestras were a tossup between these- the Hestras' leather was a little nicer and they were a smidge more supple and dextrous (barely though!), but I like the liners and cuffs on these better- not to mention the pricetag!

If you're on the fence, just get these and slather them in snow seal. You will never regret buying them!

If you're worried about them getting wet, just get some SNOW SEAL and really work those babies in. They'll be waxy and waterproof in no time and will keep the wetness at bay much, much longer. Double up with a membrane like latex gloves underneath and your own moisture won't effect it either for the coldest or wettest days.

First, the rain fly is not the dark green in the photo- it's much nicer looking light beige and light olive two tone, which was a nice surprise. The hubbed one-pole/hooks design is so easy to put together I pitched this tent in about 2 minutes the first time. Light tent but still very sturdy, once staked out everything fits tight as a drum with thoughtful details like adjustable strapped corners on everything. VERY well made tent with plenty of space for two people of average height to sit in if facing each other. Side to side space is a little tight but hey it's a compact tent, you already knew that. Vestibule is plenty big enough for two packs and the zippers don't suck. I give it two thumbs way up. Sick tent for the price.
