I would try to get my hands on XXS and go from there. I've never tried women's parka so I can't help you there but as 5'11 180lbs guy I wear men's size small Expedition Parka.
What are you talking about Steven? Seriously, if you'd own this parka you would know how wrong your suggestion of XL is. Size Medium is the correct size for this guy.
Expedition Parka does not follow your typical sizing. I'm 5'11 180lbs and size S is perfect.
WolandDeMorg, do NOT get medium as suggested above. You are hair under 5'5 and weigh 139 lb. Your size is XXS and even that could be too big.
Question for you Carver... do you even own Expedition Parka? Size M is so far off the target that you should be ashamed to even suggest it.
Loved the jacket but could not get used to it riding up every time I leaned forward. I'm 5'11" / 180lbs and size L was perfect for me. I tried sizes M and XL but sleeves and chest fit were perfect on L. If you are a fan of bomber style jackets then this is for you.
I'll give it 5 stars because there was nothing wrong with the jacket, I just could not get used to using it. Top notch quality and as warm as they come.
I'm a hair under 5'11" and 180 pounds. Normal/average body shape- though wider than average upper body- I cross country ski.
First I got a size medium Expedition Parka based on some of the comments here and it was way too big for me. I exchanged it for size small. Now the jacket fits well. If I was just wearing a t-shirt underneath it might be big, but with long sleeves or a fleece, I think its perfect.- If you are lankier than me I might consider an XS.
I give the jacket 5 stars because the quality is bar none and it is everything I ever wished for. I won't write a long review of pros and cons because there's plenty of reviews out there.
Few words about Canada Goose Chilliwack bomber jacket that I owned for a while. I loved the look of it but never could get used to how it rode up when I leaned over even just a bit. It was just too short for my liking. The sizing of Chilliwack is way different than on Expedition Parka. My Chilli was size large (I tried on M and XL) and it fit well minus the riding up issue but I don't blame the sizing for that.
So the long story short. With my height and weight I would recommend the size Small (maybe even XS if you don't have a wide or muscular upper body) on Expedition Parka and size Large on Chilliwack.
I'm 5'11" / 180lbs and I have size small Expedition Parka. Trust me, you would be swimming in size medium. If I were you, I would try to find XS.
