Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit: Runs small
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 185 lbs
Size Purchased: medium

I'm not sure who is determining the sizing of Hurley's shirts, but they all are completely different from each other. I have other Hurley button-up short sleeve shirts in Medium, and they fit quite well. This particular shirt in a Medium was Baby Gap small. The lack of free returns makes this a major let down. I used to be a big Backcountry fan, but since the shipping fiasco of using USPS for the final leg, I'm probably done.

I tend to have cold fingers and toes when boarding, so I ordered these 1 size larger than usual to leave room for heat packs. I wear a Medium in Mechanix gloves, so I ordered a Large in these mittens and put a heat pack in each hand in between the fleece liner and the outer shell. The temperature was in the single digits with the wind chill dropping below zero at times.

These mittens were toasty on sunny days with the temp in the 20's without heat packs.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large

As is Carhart's style, the vest runs slightly large. The texture of the outer material is rugged and holds up to everyday abuse very well. The "map pocket" is small and useful only to hold ID and credit cards. I had to file down the corners of the "Carhart" label on the front pocket, as it had an edge and caught the the inside of my forearm several times. Would definitely purchase again.
