My boots died, at COC last year, so i rode these for the remainder of camp, and i was very impressed with them, they have medium flex, and are very very comfortable. The break in period was short, The construction of the boots fit my binding better then my old boots. These boots would be a great buy for any skill level.

Anything around a 162-163 should work out for you height, considering the terrain, you will be riding, i would just adjust your stance when you change terrain (mountain, park, whatever) to make sure you get optimum shralpage. Hope i could be of help, Goood Luck

The Artifact will be more controlable and better for different types of terrain, the 1985 (which is awesome) its great for rails and jibs and most park features, but cant take the heat in anything else. both board have amazing features, it just comes down to what you want to ride. I riden Artifacts, and own the 1985 artifact and you wont be displeased with either. Hope i could be of help.
