I'd go with the 8. I went a size smaller and it was snug.
Is there a Sorel style boot that isn't big and clunky? I'm small and need to be able to lift my legs when I walk lol. Thanks
Let me start by saying the Sorel's I ordered are a very durable warm boot and the name speaks for itself when it comes to quality. My problem with these boots is they are big and clunky. As a small person I should have given that some thought before I purchased them. I also listened to the review about size. They fit as any other shoe, boot or sneaker would. So when ordering order your normal size not a size smaller like some reviewers suggested. I would recommend this boot to any one except a small framed woman.
Now on to customer service. I had to exchange the first pair because they were small (no fault of Sorel but of a reviewer or two). The first person I chatted with was very pleasant and answered my many questions with such professionalism. He led me in the right direction and my exchange went along flawlessly. Then I receive the new pair and they didn't fit so well either but that was my fault I should have realized from the first pair that the big and chunky wasn't going to go away. The second representative was also very nice. Since it was my second time around I didn't overwhelm him with many questions. But again, my transaction went smoothly and without flaws.
In conclusion - Sorel is a great boot and Backcountry I would order from you again based on your customer service who deserve a pat on the back. Thank you!
