Annamarie 's Bio

I'm from Chicago, but now live in Western Washington. I love the abundance of trails, sites and places to go out and about on foot, bike or snowboard! Always looking for another little great place to get away in the tent and explore!

Seriously it's cool! When not in use it folds down on it's self and it's a couple inches high because of the metal poles that make up it's frame. Other wise it is a nice thicker clear plastic. I haven't used it camping yet but to test it out I put water in it and left it for a bit. No leaks. Which is the point. Also nice that it has two compartments so no extra work, just pour your water in, wash, rinse and done. Wipe it dry or let it air dry. Because it's plastic I'm gonna throw it in a small pillow case for ease of storage. The re-closable plastic package it came in from Colman is fine, but it's a tight fit putting plastic into plastic. Good quality, durable, easy to pack. Easy to use.

This one is of the approach pack 2, there are two other views of this pack below some where. In the medium size. We use it on walks and trails filled with my boys water, collapsable bowl and treats and stuff. It's nice cause it helps him burn off more of his energy. Some dogs just like feeling like they need to work!

Okay really I got the Approach 2 pack, and it's not on here anymore, but it's still a good pack. Easy to keep clean, easy to adjust, looks good! I have a belgian malinois ( google it if you don't know what it is, and NO it's not a german shepherd.) and if I had gone by the sizing I would have gotton a Large, but my dog is a medium. But returning something through these guys is easy, so if you need to adjust it's cool. I was a bit of a turd and went to a local store that sold the same item I bought to make sure I was getting the right size, and ordered it from these guys! It was the first thing I had got from here, and it won't be the last. Ruffwear makes good durable stuff anyway, my dog doen't mind wearing it. Keep in mind that you should only put 1/3 of your dogs weight into the saddle bags no mater how much your dog weighs. The medium for my dog is a good fit with out sliping. Had I gone with a large I wouldn't have been able to adjust it right and the back strap was right under his doggie junk, so if he peed I would have to wash it. The back strap should NOT ride right under the doggie junk, cause chaffing is bad, person or dog.
