From New Jersey originally..exit 82. he he I love the beach, being on and near the water, be it rivers, lakes,oceans..love em' all! !And most importantly the Mountains! Lived some in the Catskill Mtns. in Upstate NY..just teasing me for the "real mountains" :) About 21 winters ago..and 22 years altogether....started working my way across the country..literally..took me 6 1/2 yrs to go from the Atlantic to the Pacific..all in my '74 VW Westafalia! Moved to Utah..for the Snow! duh!! he he Lived in many great towns, had some really awesome jobs, hung with some incredible people and always looking forward to the next adventure...as well as to all seasons.. although...always praying for sick ski season! I love to be outside...whether I'm really getting after it or just out with the dogs...fresh air and adventure is what I crave! !!! When I'm not outside playing...I'm most likely working or sleeping. Yoga, SUPing, dancing , ice skating, live music , good friends , good food, and lots of laughter are just a few of my other favorite things.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: Runs large
Size Purchased: 5.0

These run a little large, usually I would get 5.5, but I have 5.0's. The fit is great, with a stiff enough sole. I love to switch between my Sidi shoes and these Mavic depending on the ride I'm on..these are comfy and light, not too bulky and overall make your feet happy on any ride.

Fit: Runs small

These are really light and breathable gloves. No padding, but it does not seem to be a big deal with these gloves and my hands, I love the fit, I got them in M / purple and love them. I do have gloves with padding for certain rides, but overall, I will ride these on smooth and flowy to down and out rock garden, steps, drops etc..go anywhere do anything glove! Mtn bike guiding in Moab , crushing the Whole Enchilada, and beyond, these gloves are along for the ride!

On my personal rides I use a slightly smaller pack, but for Mtn. Bike Guiding in Moab, I find this pack to be ideal! I can fit that extra little something along, snacks, extra water, 2 medical kits, tools, great great bladder! I love these bladders! Easy to grab and fill, and, Big And, you can fill your bladder, and slip it back into the sleeve, with your pack Full, yes I know, crazy! Camelbaks are bad for that , I think..but Osprey, outta Colorado , has always been a favorite brand overall for me for packs and especially with all the perfect sizes they have to cover everything, oh and the magnetic hose, woohoo, love! I may even see what this thing can do for ski touring :) ! Overall, nailed it!

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: Runs small

I bought these as a gift for someone and she loves them. Runs slightly small...comfortable overall and a great shoe to have as your "first very own shoes" :) as quoted by the receiver! Sticky, edgy and overall perfect shoe for introduction into a life of climbing rocks! Done! :)

I have tried a bunch of different packs over the years for backcountry skiing, and size wise, this pack has always been my go to, I've had 3 of these now over 15 years, not because they wear out of course, but because they're awesome! The right size, right amount of features as far as , shovel pocket for the blade, side sleeve for the handle, sleeve for a probe , a goggle pocket, a compartment large enough for another layer, snacks , hydration sleeve..it's perfect.

Add this to your gear pile! Petzl has made great helmets for so many years now. I have owned previous models and I have to say, I love this helmet. Super light, comfy, stays in place, vents and padding where they should be and overall great style. Sits with a lower profile, which I like. Protect your Noggin. Happy Climbing!

When in doubt, go big ! :) Super glad I did. So much room. I mainly have a big tent because of my 2 medium sized, but they think they're huge, dogs :0)! Standing up and being able to function is so key with a tent , that is not for use when backpacking. (separate tent for those adventures). Marmot is such a solid company too, Great tent. Sturdy. Easy up and down. Roomy :))

Got Cot?

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I just wanted to spoil myself a little. Well, this thing has been fun to use when needed. It is compact and pretty light.Especially for car camping climbing and biking trips and river trips where you have rafts for your gear. I put my paco pad on this and its super comfy. Easy to set up. I find it nice when you want to sit down too. and sort your gear :).

Buffs Rule!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I own 4 so far. As ssen in the picture, I lent my boyfriend one of mine while out climbing on a chilly morning. Not cool enough for a full on hat, Buffs are the perfect companion. UV ones and original ones. I just love how handy and versatile they are. I will have mine around my neck one minute and up onto my head the next. I sleep with one when I'm sleeping outside, as it stays put on your head keeping cool drafts off. Up on your face, around your head, neck, folded or completely open for full coverage. Patterns are fun too :)

I have green and purple dusk for my two dogs. They are hardly ever actually on a leash, but when they are, these are so nice where you clip the leash to it. Tags can hang without making lots of noise with the little rubber tab. Light, and super cool. Always a fan of climbing rope , having some around my dogs just plain looks cool :)

The NRS straps have been a mainstay for years for me personally. I love having different sizes. Super versatile. Any boaters out there, you all know these things are the bomb! :) Lots of gear, wood, etc, you need it tied down, look no further.
