Great - these help the instructor or parent more than the kid. I find that the lever on the back is still a little to hard for mini rippers to pull up on their own, but they can get their feet in place and all the parent/instructor has to do is slap the lever up into the tight position. No fiddling with ratchets etc. Best buy I made so far, I also recomend Boa lacing system on the boots, it will save hands, save time and give the kids a little more independence...the final tightening should be done by an adult, but they can def get started on their own.

Great in ontario - riden in 3 ft of pow - nose planes nicely, great control in trees, great control on ice/hard pack. Fast - if tuned properly(157 will go over 60 mph on consistant 26 degree pitch). I;ve riden other 157's that I couldnt get up to these speeds. 1 negative - the top sheet seems to be a little fragile, each nick results in repairable dent that I would assess as needing attention, if not attended to could result in a point where delamination could occure - easy to fix with clear nail polish or epoxy.

I bought the T.Rice on a whim replacing a Ride 156 Mikey Leblanc(2004). I purchsed it for the slightly deeper side can than the TRS. Anyway here's the review:
Magnetraction - first time i tried it - works very well, others on the Hill(Blue Mountain, Ontario) were complaining of icey spots - I didnt notice any until I started lokoing for them.
Powder - floated nicely
Trees - Floated though easy to turn
Groomers - Very easy to intiiate turns and power carve
Feels stable at high speeds, easy top break loose and butter.

Only negative is that it didnt have quiate as much pop as I expected, but it was still enough for me.
