Maggie's Bio

Ever since moving to Utah in 2008 I haven't had the desire to live anywhere else. Utah has it all! I moved here from Wisconsin and am currently living in Salt Lake City. With the mountains in my backyard I love to go mountain biking, running, hiking, and basically anything that's outdoors.

Fit: Runs small

Like the other reviews state, these do run about a size small. I'm usually a 26 but sized up to a 27 in these and they're still just a tad tight. Cute shorts though! I love the versatility in being able to roll up the cuff or keep it down, and the high waist is nice to keep your bum covered but without the 'mom' fit. Overall these shorts are great, but they get 4 stars due to the fit being a little off.

When it comes to socks, Smartwool is the way to go for any occasion or activity. I use the Larimer's mostly for casual use; they make great morning socks while camping when it's still a little nippy outside. They're warm, super comfortable and I don't have any issues with them bunching up on me. If you want to add a little style to your wardrobe but don't want to have to sacrifice comfort or performance, get these!

I got these for my mom as an early Mother's day present. She's owned a few Newports for the last 5-6 years or so and absolutely loves them, so I figured I'd stay with the usual since hers need replacing. They're a very versatile shoe that can be used in almost any day to day setting.

I have yet to use this map wrap out on the field, but I'm glad I got it so no more fiddling with folded maps and whatnot. I love that it has welded seams to ensure protection from water. It's really lightweight for its size and easily attaches to my Osprey Ariel. I'm super excited to actually use it this summer on backpacking adventures!

I got these for backpacking but find myself using them for a variety of uses. They can literally be used for pretty much anything you want. I don't use the #2 that often since it's pretty small with a low carry weight , but I'm sure it will come in handy at one point. Overall they're super versatile and handy.

Fit: Runs large

I got this as a gift but ended up exchanging it for a smaller size since it does run large. It's nice and lightweight and breathable, plus it looks super cute on! Not to mention the UPF 50 is an added bonus. I may just have to get one for myself. Props Under Armour!

Size Purchased: Small

I can usually pull of wearing a men's small t-shirt since there are so many more options available compared to women's. However this shirt fit HUGE! The Small fit more like a Large, and was super long. The design and fabric are nice, just a bit too big for my liking.

I love these pants so much I went and got a second pair in a different color. They're super comfortable and stretchy, good for any type of commute. I really like that they sit higher on the waist to prevent showing off too much, and the reflectors at the ankles give me an extra sense of security when riding at night.

After using this reservoir I think I'll stick with Osprey in the future. It packs in a lot of small features that you don't get from other brands like the front handle, which makes it super easy to fill and pack, and the backer plate allows it to slide effortlessly into your pack. Plus the magnetic bite valve is a must. Compared to my old reservoirs this one is much higher quality and hands down a more durable reservoir. Thanks for your ingeniousness Osprey!

The Capilene Daily T-Shirt is super lightweight and breathable, great for pretty much any activity. It can be used as a layer or by itself on hot summer days, plus it has bomber upf protection. I got this as a birthday gift for my brother and he loves it! So much so that I'll probably be getting him some more in different colors.

I've owned multiple Black Diamond headlamps and really liked the fit, functionality and durability of all of them, so I've decided to stick with Black Diamond. The cosmo comes at a great price for a high quality lamp. The dimming features are nice and the batteries last a long time. This lamp can be used for just about anything and is a great bang for your buck.

This jacket is the bees knees. It's super lightweight and can be stuffed and zipped into its own pocket for portability, and works great as a mid layer or worn by itself on warmer days. I love how durable the jacket is, plus I'm a huge fan of the elastic around the cuffs to keep wind out. You really can't go wrong with Patagonia products!

I love how stretchy these pants are with more of a casual look to them. They sit pretty high up on your waist, but that's something I like since it prevents too much from being shown, especially when using them while biking. I love the skinny fit, they look great and are uber comfortable. I may just have to get a second pair!

Love these glasses! I've already dropped them a handful of times yet they hold up well to the abuse. Plus I'm not too worried if they do break, as Smith stands behind their products and offers an excellent warranty. The TLT lens really does seem to help with clarity and eye fatigue, and the look/style of the lowdowns will only add steeziness to your wardrobe .

I got this tape for my commuter and plan on getting this same stuff again when it needs to be replaced. There's enough padding that it's super comfortable for long rides without gloves, and it's super easy to install.

I have yet to use this pack but I've used my girlfriend's so I'm confident that it's comfortable, functional, and super durable. I ordered a size Small and needed an XS hip belt so I got in contact with Osprey and they took care of me oh so well. I was able to swap them out without a problem. If you're looking for one of the most precise fits you can get in a pack along with a killer manufacture warranty, definitely go with Osprey. I plan to use my pack next weekend for a backpacking trip in Moab and can't wait to see how it holds up!

I never thought running tights could be so comfortable! The waist band has a nice feel to it and doesn't cause any chafing. The Velocity pants are warm enough to wear alone for outdoor running in the winter, and they're plenty breathable for running indoors. They have a flattering fit, and the side and back pockets are a nice feature for storing small essentials. I don't have a single complaint about these pants. Nice one, Patagonia!
