Maggie's Bio

Ever since moving to Utah in 2008 I haven't had the desire to live anywhere else. Utah has it all! I moved here from Wisconsin and am currently living in Salt Lake City. With the mountains in my backyard I love to go mountain biking, running, hiking, and basically anything that's outdoors.

I never thought running tights could be so comfortable! The waist band has a nice feel to it and doesn't cause any chafing. The Velocity pants are warm enough to wear alone for outdoor running in the winter, and they're plenty breathable for running indoors. They have a flattering fit, and the side and back pockets are a nice feature for storing small essentials. I don't have a single complaint about these pants. Nice one, Patagonia!

This shirt is the bees knees! It provides some warmth for cooler days, and wicks sweat and odor like none other. It has a soft feel and what I like most about it is its versatility. I literally wear this shirt for every different type of occasion from hiking and running to casual, everyday wear. It's slightly longer in length, but not so much that it's something to be concerned about. This shirt is so great I plan on getting more in different colors!

I love everything about this fleece! It's stylish, functional, comfortable, warm and from past experience with other Patagonia clothing items, durable. It does seem to fit a bit loose, but it's nothing drastic. I'm usually between a size small and medium and after reading reviews I opted for the small, which fits perfectly. I can easily layer over it with a down jacket and/or shell and it provides enough room to layer under it as well. My favorite feature is the elastic around the waist and wrists so you can wear it many different ways while still keeping the cold at bay. The collar sits fairly high when fully buttoned which keeps your neck warm too. Nice one, Patagonia!

I got these on an outlet deal so I couldn't pass them up. So far I have used these as baselayers for skiing and also as leggings for around town adventures. My only complaint is that they fit a bit big and seem to be longer than normal, especially since the picture shows ankle;) Normally I would downsize, but that size is no longer in stock. FIGHT THE FREEZE.

I just got these so I haven't used them a ton but my initial impressions tell me that these will be sticking around for a while. The fabric is super comfortable and, as the other reviewers have mentioned the waist band is a bit tight but I didn't find it anything to be bothered by. So far I have used these running and I found them to be super breathable and the side pocket is very convenient.

Because of sporting this shirt Old Man Winter was kept at bay... This shirt is a bit tight fitting, but as a baselayer/winter running shirt it gets the job done. The arm pocket is super awesome for storing small essentials. Many of the reviews mention the sleeves on this are super long, but I haven't noticed it. Overall, my only complaint is that it is so tight fitting.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This shirt was not what I expected and I ended up returning it. Overall, it seemed comfortable but the fit was not my style. It fit really loose and seemed to be wider than it was long... boxy would describe it well. I'm sure it could look good on the right person but it's just not for me.

I started this book the other day and I couldn't put it down. So far its awesome. The author tells a story that'll get your heart racing at points but he also provides factual information which brings you back to reality. There were moments where I was completely absorbed and found myself reliving my first experience skiing pow. For all skiers and boarders (or just plain skiers as the author refers to all snow sports), I'd recommend picking up a copy.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit: True to size

I got this jacket as a gift but have some feedback to share from the recipient. Overall he really likes the jacket and finds the fabric to be super durable. I got him the brown color but I think I maybe should have gone with the black. He says the brown color is just a little drab, but it's nothing he's too particular about since the jacket is so comfortable. The liner jacket fits him a little bit more snug than expected, but not so much so that it's uncomfortable. However the outer shell fits true to size. If you don't plan on wearing the liner by itself then it won't be an issue. Overall it's a high quality jacket packed with a lot of warmth.

Gosh I love hydro flask. You can never have too many around, and they make for great gifts too. I picked up the arctic white and black butte colors as Christmas gifts, and I'm 100% sure they're going to love them. The 18oz is a perfect size for travel and commuting. These guys are bombproof and great for anything. I'd highly recommend picking some up if you haven't already.

I absolutely had to pick up one of these since it's two of my favorite things: camo and backcountry.com. I'm always proud to be sporting the goat around, and the camo color just makes it that much cooler. It fits like a charm and looks good whether it's backward or forward facing. It would probably look cooler if it had a black patch, in my opinion, but either way it's still a sick hat.

You can never ever go wrong with hydro flask products. They're the most durable, easiest to clean, and the coolest looking water bottles out there. Not to mention the insulation will rock your socks. These guys will keep hot drinks hot for up to 6 hours and cold drinks cold up to 24 hours. One of my favorite features is the sweat resistant finish for a slip free grip. The Tempshield technology guarantees no condensation or heat transfer to the outside of the bottle, making these a necessity in your life.

I got these as a gift for my dad, so I can't speak from experience but I took a look at them and they seem like a super durable shoe with a high amount of traction. He's used Keen's in the past and has always been happy with them, so I have no doubt that he'll love these. I ordered a size 10 for him and they seem to fit true to size.

After using the insulated pint you'll never want to drink beer out of a bottle ever again. The double wall insulation in this thing absolutely rocks, keeping your drink cold (or hot) for hours. Plus the sweat free powder coat finish keeps this guy fresh and clean, AND it's super durable. I got one as a gift and just had to get one for myself. I'd highly recommend picking up one of these whether you're a beer drinker or not

Armada's Tenaya beanie brings warmth and style together to create the perfect piece for winter. The cuff design is nice since it can be worn rolled up or down, and the two toned color makes it stand out from the rest. I ordered the Dusk color and it's exactly as pictured. The only thing I'm not too fond of with the beanie is that it fits a bit tight, but that can easily be solved with a little bit of stretching. All in all, great beanie.

These are my third pair of vans and they're great! For me they fit true to size with a more narrow fit compared to their slip-ons, which work well for my super skinny feet. These are my new everyday shoe until they'll need replacing, which they usually last about a year with every day wear. Great investment for an all around casual summer shoe

I really wanted to like this beanie, but the fit just isn't for me. It had a pretty tight fit and I like a looser, slouchier fit. But it is a super warm beanie and they come in some pretty awesome colors. I decided to return it and find something with a baggier fit.

Love this backpack! Initially I ordered it in size medium which turned out to be a bit too big for me so I returned it for a small which fits perfectly. All of the compartments and pockets in the pack make it easy to fit more than I need for my backpacking trips. The detachable bag is super convenient for those shorter day hikes. Overall great bag, super comfortable and a must have for so many adventuring occasions!

This is my second pair of Yampas and I would have to say that these ones are even better than the last. The new ones seem to be more durable than the last ones I owned (since they broke where the straps connect into the sole).
Right out of the box they were very easy to adjust but one thing I noticed was that until I actually got these dirty, the straps kept tightening on me. Glad to say that problem is solved.
Overall, they are great for just about everything from backpacking to casual wear.
