Madi B.'s Bio

I've been an outdoor enthusiast since I can remember; I'm happiest when there's mountain air in my lungs...I'm always down to try new things, and love spending as much time in the fresh air as possible! I've been an employee at Backcountry.com since October, 2011...and have loved every minute of it!

I actually don't have much to say about this pack but just want to throw my general praise out there. It's exactly what I was looking for and I use it almost daily. I love it. Excellent quality with very strong true colors. I use it leisurely but I have used it a few times for camping...it works great for both.

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

"I love the way this pack forms so well to your back. There is a TON of space in this pack...my initial trip, I was carrying about 68 pounds and remained comfortable the entire trip. I had read reviews about the buckles on this pack being very fragile...so far so good, I've done three trips with this pack so far, and the buckles seem to be just fine! If you are an organized person like I am, this is the pack for you; there are a LOT of pockets. My favorite expedition pack so far."

PROS:
-Very comfy/secure fit.
-Awesome sound balance.
-Fair price for the quality.
-The perfect amount of base.
CONS:
-Cable thump is a bit lounder than I'm used to...I'd recommend these for the "still" parts of your day. Maybe switch it up for your going to go for a run.

Really good stopping power. Glad I went with these vs. the cheaper versions...it's worth the extra little bit of money. The organic is a bit thicker than I expected, so be sure to factor that in. Takes a few rides for the initial brake noise to go away. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Extremely simple, comfortable, AND functional. That's pretty much all I need to say. The straps don't dig anywhere. You can hike, or just lounge in these sandals and it they work great for either or. Can be work out camping, or with a cute pair of jeans. Love em! Size note: I'm in between sizes and sized up; they fit really well.

I'm super picky about these types of hats. The brims are either too large, or too small and it ends up looking more like a fedora. Not this one though, this has the perfect size brim that doesn't flop around when you walk, but has enough coverage. Also, it doesn't have the dent in the top of the hat like most do, which I think, makes it a little more feminine. Love it!

Not a ton of space, but good for running around town with a wallet, waterbottle, and maybe a little something you picked up from the store. The straps are very basic. Overall, it works perfect for what I bought it for.

I think this hat is made for a bit bigger of a noggin than mine. On the smallest snap setting, it's still too big on me...I have to overlap the snaps to get it to fit. The hat also looks kind of ridiculous if you try to wear it backwards, at least on me. Wearing it straight forward thoug, I love it. It's soft, comfy, and awesome looking.

Keeps my water nice and cool on hot days! Love the size - large enough to hold water for a significant hike/bike ride, yet won't weigh you down. Love the no-leak valve. I keep it open on bike rides and it still doesn't leak. I like not having to mess with the opening and closing of a valve while on a ride.

Fits true to size.
Extremely comfy, very cushy. Much better for use indoors/at a gym. Too soft for outdoor use in my opinion. I bought them for indoor use as I already have outdoor shoes, and these work GREAT for that. Love em!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 130 lbs
Size Purchased: Small

Pros:
-Definitely keep you warm in cold weather.
-Hefty/quality material - feels like they're going to last me a long time.
-Very comfy.
-Fit true to size. I'm 5'6" and they're just the right length.

Cons:
-Ankle zippers - makes it so you can't wear them as an under layer skiing, having the ankle zipper hurts too much with ski boots on.
-The small reflective/decorative stripes on the thighs makes them a little less versatile. Pretty much only for exercise...if you try and wear them as leggings, the reflective part looks silly.

Overall - I love them!
