Castelli LVC TDF Team Jersey with Castelli TDF Maillot Free Aero Bib Shorts.
Garneau is one of the few who make arm warmers in extra small. No more drooping or safety pins to hold them up! The fabric is soft, warm and has retained its elastic after a year of wear and washing. Arms of all sizes rejoice!
I'm normally not a fan of 1/2 zip jerseys but the fabric and cut of this jersey is so nice, I'll make an exception. I prefer to wear it mountain biking since the bottom hem and sleeves are looser than a typical road jersey and I'm not worried about things moving around in the pockets since I'm wearing a hydration pack. Great for hot weather -- it will keep you cool and dry.
DeMarchi managed to do the seemingly impossible: create a color that's obviously feminine without being over-the-top. I really appreciate the attention to detail on this jersey, from the pink collar band on the inside to the striped color tag sewn into the pocket seam. It has subtle, classic italian style but still looks very modern. Bravissimo!
These have been my go-to bibs for a year and they've held up beautifully. They offer just the right amount of compression and the chamois lives up to all that Giordana touts it to be -- the most advanced in the industry. Giordana runs small - size up if you're used to american vs. euro sizing!
I wore these for the first time this weekend on the mountain bike and was super impressed! The optics are great, they stayed put, and frame doesn't interfere with your view. Plus, they work well for smaller faces. Catlike also provides a 2nd clear lens. Happy!
A very well-made, good looking shoe. I have the Chrome/White/Teal in a size 37 and I wear a 5.5 or 6 in US women's. I previously had Northwaves in a size 36 using a Superfeet insert so it took a little time to adjust to this shoe. Having high arches, I chose the most supportive arch insert, labeled "L", provided with Giro's adjustable SuperNatural Fit Kit (low "S" and medium "M" also included). I found I had to move the arch inserts much further back than the area outlined for them on the insole. Once they were in the proper position for my feet, the shoes felt great. Bottom line, its worth the time to experiment with the 3 arch inserts and their position on the insole until you find the best fit for your feet.
I owned a Whisper briefly in 2011 and loved the fit and style but the ratchet broke after 2 weeks so I returned it. For 2013, the Multi Positioning System (MPS) is much improved and shows no sign of breaking after a couple of months of consistent use. In addition to being light and having good ventilation, the fit is great (I have a small) and doesn't make me feel like I look like a bobble head. My only complaint is that the plastic ring that holds the ends of the chin stap broke almost immediately. Not a big deal but its the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
I continue to be impressed with this pack. It remains comfortable and stabile when fully loaded and keeps your back ventilated on the hottest days. I'm 5'2" and used to having my helmet hit the top of a pack while riding but haven't had that issue with this pack. Pockets and compartments, internally and externally, are well-thought-out and placed where they make sense for convenient access. It's not pictured here, but my pack came with a flower attached to the reflective strip thats toward the bottom that doubles as a ponytail holder. A nice touch knowing how many times I've packed the car and forgotten a hairband!
