As a Merino, it worked perfectly. I was switching between 3 socks (2 of this Columbia, and another lightweight Trekking socks) during a 50 days trek. The Columbia wicked moisture brilliantly, and prevented, or at least minimized blisters, and kept my feet chafe-free.
No less important, it had no smell what so ever, ever after wearing them for 2 weeks continuously.

The only Con, which is a pretty serious one, is that it's not durable enough. While the other sock remained in good shape, the 2 Columbia began to wear out in the heel and Achilles tendon.

I was using this shirt along side an IceBraker Marino T, and the difference in unbelievable. While the IceBraker, wicked moisture pretty well (but not as good as a synthetic), the I/O Bio became soaking wet, and almost caused me Hypothermia. Also, it took it ages to dry again.
If you really want to move to Merino, spend more money and buy a decent one.

It did wicked away odor nicely, better than any synthetic, but not as good as my IceBraker.

Will it work in High Altitude?
I am planning a trip to Nepal in few months.
Will it function in Altitudes as high as 16,000+ feet? For this trip, I need it mainly for Coffee breaks.
Also, Can I find a gas canister in Nepal that will fit this stove?

Thanks,

Any other suggestions for Sane-Budget canister stoves?
