I'm looking for a really warm mid-layer (that could also work as stand alone piece in cold conditions. I currently have the Arcteryx Atom LT, but since I'm now working northern Canada, I definitely need something way more warmer, and with no hood. It also needs to be resistant and durable (not as heavy duty like workwear, but close!) I hesitate a lot on the insulation I want to get (between 700 and 850), and the brand (for now, my heart goes from this BD jacket, Arcteryx Thorium AR or Cerium AR, Mountain hardwear Nitrous and Marmot Jena (the Qasar might be too hot))

Any thoughts on those?

Thanks!

I plan going on a 4-5 days hike trip (Yellowstone, Yosemite or Death Valley, haven't made my mind yet!). I've read the reviews and so far I'd be interested in Gregory Deva 70 or the Osprey Xenon (or the new Xena) 70. Any major differences between those two bags? Any suggestions? Thanks!
