This snowboard is THE BEST BOARD I HAVE EVER RIDDEN! I received this snowboard in a 146 back in March for the Winter Deaflympics (thanks Nichole & Roxy!!). I intended to use this for boardercross because I was doing that for my first time (I usually ride a 142-144... I am 5 feet, 2 inches, 115lbs) and I chose this board because I was familiar with how it rode. I had a Torah Bright C2 board in the past and it was my absolute favorite, especially for going fast.
This snowboard is FUN FUN FUN! I've always been a huge fan of C2 and when I finally tried the XC2.... It blew my mind. XC2 is more aggressive than C2. Go here to learn more about the technology and to compare: http://www.gnu.com/about/technology/ and scroll down to "BANANA TECHNOLOGY." This snowboard is the XC2, under the "PERFECT/AGGRESSIVE" title.
I love this board. I can haul ass and still play around with it. This board isn't too stiff, I was able to butter around on it right away without needing to break it in. With this board, the whole mountain is my playground.
This board is F-A-S-T and lightweight! When I used this board for Deaflympics Boardercross, the snow was slushy and slow... I waxed this snowboard and to my amazement, it held the wax well. I was able to do all heats without needing to re-wax it.
Even though this snowboard is not made specifically for boadercross, I managed to get second place among other women who used boardercross-specific snowboards (I got the second-fastest time during qualifiers). I'm telling you, people, this thing is quick! This snowboard was extremely stable at high speeds as well which is a huge bonus and I had a blast going through banked turns and jumping... fast AND playful! What's not to love?
This snowboard rides the same switch as it does regular. Riding switch is breeze! This snowboard has plenty of pop and is really easy to ollie. The snowboard is easy to spin with as well... I rode the halfpipe with this too and had no issues with spinning off the wall.
The graphics are dope as well! Usually, when I think of Roxy, I think of girly-girl things.... this isn't too girly-looking. I would call it "badass babe-looking." This is a snowboard for badass babes.
Now that the Deaflympics are over, I am going to trade my 146 in for a smaller one so I can ride it all over the mountain. I prefer to have one board for everything and this board is it. I can take it in the park, trees, off cliffs, haul ass down steeps, everywhere!!
