Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

I bought this a few years ago and it has been a go to piece ever since.

Pros: It's is an excellent layering piece, due to its slim fit small layers can be worn beneath and you still have room for more layers on top. The fit is great for outdoor activities, running errands in town, or casual get-togethers with friends.

Con: The material pilled after a couple of times through the wash. It doesn't pack down very small.

I have worn this on many backpacking trips and with everyday errands. I've had it for 3 years now and it is showing no wear and tear. The Gore-Tex material is great and worth the extra dollar! I have used this in cold temps with a light layer underneath and it has done a great job blocking out the wind and cold. I've also never had a problem with water getting in, sometimes in warm heat there is a bit of condensation build up from your body though! This jacket rolls up pretty small and is rather light which makes it a great travel companion.

It does have a bit of a feminine cut in the back which may hug a curvier woman slightly tighter, so if you are worried I may recommend sizing up.

I have worn this jacket nonstop for 2 winters now and absolutely love it. The hood is great, it is super lightweight (no problem taking this on a back country trip), good for both cold and warmer temps I have never really gotten too warm in it. Only one complaint, the material is rather thin (I've poked a few small holes in it already). To avoid this and keep things a little more waterproof and wind resistant I usually throw a shell over it, especially when tromping through the woods.

Sizing is rather accurate but the sleeves do run a little long!
