LG's Bio

I have been working in the outdoor and snowsports industries for years and years. I have experience with many brands and their products. I am lucky enough to have landed in Colorado and work for the Eider brand. With a super fun playground in my back yard and opportunites to wear and test the products I believe in, I feel really lucky and want to pass along any feedback I have that could help you make an educated purchase. Cheers and Happy Trails!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fit: True to size

My husband has this button down shirt and it has been on mountain bike rides, hiking, camping in the desert to keep the sun off and out to dinner. Seriously, who wouldnt want a shirt that does it all and has lots of stretch and dries quickly?? It has been through the wash multiple times, but doesnt get put in the drier to help make it last longer cause it is one of the best. Like the paneled construction and the slimmer cut since it looks good and doesn't have all the extra fabric flapping around on rides, but can upbutton a few buttons to get air flow. Quality, technical, looks good.

OK, this might be one of my favorite jackets yet. Eider has someone that only works on finding the best fabrics to make their apparel and it shows with this jacket. The subtle jacquard print gives the jacket great color depth and it has a really soft feel. The down insultioin is quilted inside the jacket down the back side so it is comfortable sitting back against the cold chairlift bars. Eider uses a synthetic insulation on the sides and in the arms so you wont feel bulky, but feel all the warm in the right places. Eider jackets are as nice on the inside as they are on the outside!

No matter what the weather you can can face it in this waterproof down jacket by Eider. The defender membrane and thermally bonded baffles will keep the cold and moisture out, while the 700 fill power down keeps the jacket super warm and lightweight. So if you want a warm jacket that is flattering and does not feel bulky, you will love the Yangra!!

This shell can be worn as a ski piece by zipping in the powder skirt and finding the freshies. Zip out the powder skirt and it becomes a versatile shell jacket for hiking/mountaineering. The inside of the jacket is brushed, so in warmer weather if you are wearing this shell over a short sleeve, the 3-layer feels good next to skin, not clammy. The Aqua Guard zippers by YKK are sturdy, lighter and arent as stiff as others.

Just an FYI; the colors are a little off on these images. The brown looks slightly yellow in the picture, it is more taupe color and the olive is a little more green. This jacket very flattering, warm and lighweight. You can layer with it, stuff it into a pack on cooler days, wear it around town. Notice the seaming creates a flattering fit....that is what Eider is known for.

I wore this jacket all last winter; I was able to ski most days in CO with this piece. I love the high collar when fully zipped, I could get a neck gaitor under it and be protected if it was blustery on the chair. On sunny days the fabric would heat up and be warm to the touch. I was able to wear the jacket for apre since it is so lightweight and comfortable and does not look like a ski jacket. I found myself wearing it to work, the grocery store....everywhere! It is so lightweight you can certainly put a hardshell over it if need be. One of my favorite pieces of clothing.

Eider was founded by a tailor in 1962 and they still make their patterns at their headquaters in France; this is apparent in how the jackets fit and the details that go into them. They are big into mountaineering (this piece is from that collection)as well as snowsports. Eider has some of the best quaality, well thought through products out there.

I've worn a lot of pants in my day working and living in a ski town for 20 + years and I would have to say this pant is the most comfortable pant I have ever worn. The fabric is light and full stretch with light insulation. The back seam over the pockets keeps the pant in place, while the fleece lined waistband is comfortable on the hip bones. You can go with or without the suspenders since there are adjustments at the waist of the pant. Venting, side cargo pockets that don't stick out that far, but big enought to put a collaspable water bottle make this pant ideal for skiing, hiking...especially since they are a little roomier in the legs. True to size
