First off, I'm not that great a skier, y but i still have a ton of fun with these. They really shine on untracked and groomed stuff. As of now, I don't quite have the skill to demolish choppy stuff. Working on that. Definitely have to stay forward with these guys. They hand my ass to me every time i fall back. Definitely pushing my skiing with these and I love it!

So far I've loved these boots. I've skied them on a couple side country tours and they have been very comfortable and provide decent support. While ripping up the groomers, I can definitely feel the stifness fall apart, but I guess I'm then using them for the wrong purpose. Stick to touring and you will probably love the boot. And of course, go dynafit. I was stuck on the debate for a while and am glad I didnt succumb to fritschis.

So I decided to try these guys again, but noticed a couple more flaws.

Firstly, no dummy strap. That is just absurd on a $300 glove. Not cool.

Secondly, the wrist clench mechanism. Difficult to work with one hand. Why not make it simpler with a passive elastic or something more streamlined?

Thirdly and most importantly. Most of Arcteryx stuff seems to be made for thinner athletic types, but these glove would fit best on someone with shorter and fatter fingers. I hope next year they will make them more for long, skinny finger guys. IMO.

Also, it did make a lot of sense to me to have such a dexterous design for a big glove. I think it would awesome if they used this technology to make a light glove. Something for temps 15 F to 35F. On par with BD Punisher. Maybe a similar shell, but a thin, fixed liner. Damn, that would be a nice glove.

These gloves are almost perfect. Durable leather construction with one FAT GAPPING weakness. Why did they make the glove full construction and then put a stupid nose wipe on the thumb?!?!?! It will just wear out. And no waterproof membrane? Might be fine in the cold and dry interior, but on the coast, our wet winters necessitate a membrane.

I anyone knows a FULL leather glove with a waterproof, breathable membrane and minimum insulation, please let me know.

Save a bunch of money and get this one if you are an amateur. You cant really share 1080 quality very easily so there isnt much point and editing on a normal computer is pretty slow. Overall though, I love this guy, pretty easy to use and produces quality video and stills.

Who knew skis could stick going up hill. It still amazes me when I use em over a steeper step. Kick turning is probably something I'll never love, but oh well. The only times these have failed me is skinning up a ridge that was pretty wind blow and some how had a 1 inch layer of snow on top of ice. But I guess that is what crampons are for.

Never thought I'd blow 6 hundy on a pair of bindings, but damn, these are amazing. So easy to use and so simple. Construction is bomb proof. How do I know these work? Just partially tore my MCL catching a ski under a bent over tree. Now I'm out 4 to 6 weeks in a La Nina year, but I still love them.

I just want to reiterate. SOOOO easy to use.

They almost work for everything up here in Seattle. I can ski groomers pretty fast and float in most powder. The only time I wanted something wider was very early in the season where the snow was super light. Sunk down about 1-2 feet and that was a bit much. Overall I really like their stability and simple construction. Highly recommended.

Quite expensive for a luxury item, but I love it for cramming all my crap into that I'm not carrying up the mountain or for organizing all my crap when I'm car camping with friends. And it is amazing for travelling. Super tough, unique so its super easy to spot on the carousel and the backpack straps are the best thing since sliced bread: carry a 30 lb bag like its a small backpack. Makes travelling so simple since you dont look like a fool with a rolling bag and aren't stuggling with the awkwardness of a duffel. Highly recommended. Will make life easy!!!
