Kaweka and Ruahine ranges, North Island, New Zealand - and further afield whenever possible!
Man, these things are huuuuuuge! Ordered my usual size and thought I'd been sent the wrong size (I hadn't). They're a very baggy fit and seem to run very large in the waist - tried slapping a belt on but ended up looking like a hiking clown. Buying without trying on first is always a risk, looks like my luck ran out with these - if like me you prefer a more tailored fit I'd look elsewhere.
I bought one of these along with the Stoic 3 piece set...the set is yet to be used and I probably won't take it next time! The long spoon handles everything from stirring pots (without frying your fingers) to digging food out of bags and stirring a cup of coffee. Brilliant design.
Took a gamble and bought this tent based on reviews below (it's a bit hard to return stuff when you live down in New Zealand), and I'm not disappointed. Light weight enough to use for solo trips, but roomy enough (just) for two - as stated previously the vestibules are not large, but they'll take a pack either side. Headroom is excellent and stops you feeling too cramped. Very easy to set up, although supplied instructions are for the LT3 and require a bit of head scratching to adapt for the LT2 - I'd suggest a couple of test runs in the backyard first.
All in all a great tent for the money - recommended.
Update : I managed to accommodate two 6 foot tall men, two packs, 1 rifle and 1 dog during a recent trip-gone-slightly-wrong. Not bad for a lightweight!
Update 2 : Finally got a rain workout. 10 hours of non stop heavy rain, not a single drip made it inside. Bottom of my sleeping bag got wet where I had it pressed against the fly, but that's to be expected. What a great little tent.
