Male, 52, single, with a 3 and 6 year old. Living the dream.
2.5 hour pot of the best mixed bean soup. This stove is the best.
good to have
this stove does it all
find tree, wrap strap, connect hammock, done...
you gotta feel sorry for all those poor folks in their hotel rooms.
I have 4 of these in different sizes for different fuels. Love em.
I'm right at 6'. Sending back to get the tall/wide. GREAT MAT. Just was trying to save a bit on the weight and I don't quite trust the UL. I have the synmat 7 l/w and was hoping this one would work. Nope, but I am getting the large.
This along with their straps is perfect. They all fit in the little sack. So nice to be pleased with a purchase. The dude naps well...........
Need I say more?
These things seal great. The stuff inside stays the it was when it went in. I love these things. I have 4. I have tried others but they invariably get moisture in them. These never have. Ken
Indestructible, latching lid, well made. The MSR windpro 2 fits perfectly in the 775ml. I could not be happier. Ken
I had never heard of this company before. I purchased a pair of asolo boots but had to return them because of a size issue. I was going to get the correct size when I decided to give these guys a try. The Asolo boots where a bit heavy and stiff. These boots are great. They are quite nimble out of the box and very comfortable. I wear a 10.5-11 and the 44.5 worked fantastic. I'll update as I wear these. I am going to use them as my daily footwear and also as my backpacking boots. I hit all types of terrain and loads so they'll get a workout. Update, these boots are freakin the best. I have 300.00 danners, a plethora of "on sale" boots that I have purchased through the years, none of them compare. They keep getting more comfortable. UPDATE; Doing outstanding. First trip and I cannot be happier. These boots are the best I've ever owned. I'm 52 and former basic infantry USMC so I know what that means. They also help my ankles look thin. :)
Okay, now it has been over a year of constant wear of these boots. They have performed flawlessly. They have been my daily footwear of choice and I couldn't be happier.
This stove is really nice. I have the MSR Dragonfly and an alcohol stove but I believe this one will be my go to stove from now on. Its way easy to use, the simmering is fantastic, and its light. I bought a 775 ml stowaway pot and it fits inside it perfectly. On high this thing puts out the heat, just can't ask anymore from a stove. Its so nice to be so pleased with a purchase. Ken
I have the 20l and it has been great. Getting a couple of the 13L. These things are really tough and work well. These bags keep things in your pack organized and dry. I hope they are not discontinuing them.
I am a little self conscious about this thing but it is so worth it when a meal needs more prep then boiling water. Having a slightly raised platform is nice and it is about cute as it can be and cute goes a long way. It is very light and well made and the engineering is cool. A luxury no doubt.
what is the height of the 1.1?
This is a great compression bag. It is easy to use and the waterproof quality is really comforting. Years ago in ops training we put all of our gear in water proof bags before packing our alice packs and it made them into great floatation devices. It is a habit that I have continued. Now its just nice to know that no matter what my stuff is dry.
I have used two other brands and got tired of using the awl on my Swiss army knife to pry loose a bit of flavor. Its has amazed me how hard onion powder can get. Of course it has also amazed why the Swiss Army needs so many gadgets on their knives, maybe its because they're always neutral so they have plenty of time to fix stuff. These little shakers are the movers and now all I need is a good ole American Case two bladed pocket knife, sorry Sven.
