This mug is bigger than I thought it would be. Yeah yeah, the size is listed as 1L but it's wide shape and handle really take up a lot of space in your pack. But that said, it's completely worth it! If you're worried about space you'll be able to think of many many things you can pack inside it. I got one thinking the wide top would be more convenient to cook with (and clean) which it DEFINITELY is. Ever tried to clean out a nalgene after re-hydrating pasta sauce in it?? Problem solved. Now I find myself looking for excuses to use it for everything else!

I was VERY skeptical when this arrived. It reeked of chemicals and felt like a stiff papery towel - you know the brown cheap ones that are always in public restrooms. But I figured... give it a try. After one wash the chemical smell was gone. It softens up the instant it gets wet (damp, even) and doesn't feel rubbery at all. I was able to dry myself and my bikini with a medium towel. Squeeze it out and it works again. And the drying time is mere minutes if you can lay it out in the sun. My boyfriend is loyal to his pack towel from the 80s but I think he's getting jealous. =)

I tried this jacket on in a store at random and fell in love with it's shape. I've spent years looking for a coat that is long enough to keep me fully dry but not bulky and square or tight fitting around my hips. I went a size up so I can layer and it's still flattering. Ok, girly stuff aside- this jacket is super solid, seams are strong and since it's so "minimalist" there really doesn't appear to be much that could go wrong. I've only been able to bring it on one trip to Shasta so far but it kept me completely dry and comfortable in soaking wet spring "snow" with a blazing sun overhead. The rubbery-ness of the Paclite inside didn't bother me against my skin as I thought it might. The ONLY bad thing I can say about this jacket is that the pockets are placed all wrong- not accessible with a pack on. Ok for me, but may be a dealbreaker for others.

It's flattering which is hard to find in warm women's clothing. It's warmer than I had expected, too. The materials are all very high quality and feel as nice as they look! The only problem I've had is that the stitches in one of the arm cuffs started to come undone after I wore it a few times... not uncommon with these style cuffs. I haven't had any shedding problems like other people spoke of. I can't wait for some colder weather so I can get more use out of it!
