Kayla Weiser's Bio

Born and raised out West, I love to play outside. My first and foremost is skiing- I have been telemarking for 14 years, prefer Big Mountain but love mixing it up with touring and park days. #spreadtelemark

In the warmer months, I love to get out mountain biking, climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping, and whitewater boating. I also have a 4 year old Newfoundland fur baby, so if you or your pup have any questions on doggie gear, Camber and I would be happy to help!

I got these for my pops to replace his old beat-up Sidi's , and he has no complaints. He is an avid cross-country mountain biker, and these have been the perfect shoe for him to stand up to the continual use and abuse.
In regards to fit, he says Sidi has always been the best for his more narrow foot. Tight comfortable fit that guarantees no sloshing around, and easy to ratchet down.
This is his second (maybe third?) pair of the Dominator 5s, with how highly he speaks of them I'm not sure he'll ever make the switch to another pair!

My man has been in the market for a good set of backcountry skis- something durable enough to take a beating, but light enough to not bog him down on the skin up. After quite a bit of deliberation, and getting to check these out in person, he settled with the Wailers and I don't think he has any regrets.
Bottom line, these things are stinking light. He threw a pair of Kingpins on them, and I have some mad jealousy regarding that light setup... He basically flies up the skintrack now.
But for being so light, they've still got some substantial power when you get into the turns. They're not flimsy, you still have to be able to drive them. In pow especially, he says they feel a lot like a super light Armada JJ.
All in all, so far so good- DPS knows what they're doing. Still have yet to experiment with them in other snow conditions, will update if anything changes!

My stepmom is in love with this skirt, so I got her another one knowing that I couldn't lose. The fabric is nice and soft, but still flowy enough so it doesn't bog you down in the warmer weather. Sizing seems true- she typically takes a Medium in bottoms, and the M is a great fit in this one. The patterns are super cute too, vibrant colors!

This is the go-to base layer. One and done! Or easy enough to layer it up with other base layers on the super cold days. The material does end up being soft- but you do need to wash it once or twice, right out of the box it is a little itchy. The fit is right on point, my bf is 5'10 and 165lb, the Medium fits perfectly- next to the skin fit without being suffocatingly tight. As far as the zip goes, it seems to sit on him well, doesn't seem to rub under the waist of his pants. If you're in the market for a good solid base layer for top and bottom, the merino ninja suit is an excellent choice!

Don't let the lower price fool you- the Stoic Merino line is still great! I got a few of these tops as gifts for my family, and so far so good. It is a nice lightweight merino, soft to the touch, and not itchy at all. The fit seems to be right on point as well. All in all, if you're looking for a nice lightweight merino top, look no further!

Perfect neck gaiter- soft, cozy, keeps your face warm, and doesn't freeze (at least not yet). It is a nice heavier-weight gaiter, so great for stormy days. I do find the picture to be a little misleading about the size- it's not a tall neck tube, rather it's more designed like your "classic" gaiter that comfortably covers your neck and lower face, but doesn't have a ton of extra material on top of that. Definitely would recommend!

I am a huge fan of Nikwax, and additionally, I have accumulated a ridiculous amount of winter leather shoes ( I readily admit that I have a *healthy* addiction to Sorel). So, in turn it makes sense to take care of said shoes. This duo pack is a great choice- cleans leather effectively, and the waterproofing works well. I found no staining as a consequence- just clean waterproof boots. Definitely would recommend!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this layer! It's nice and lightweight- easy to layer with for the colder days, or wear standalone under a shell on the warmer days. I tour with it, ski at the resorts with it, and have no complaints. It offers a nice amount of warmth, but mostly it wicks moisture well. I love that it has a hood (good and oversized) and the zip kangaroo pocket- plus the fact that it can zip into that pocket is great, can't wait to use it in warmer months for backpacking!
As far as sizing goes- I have found Burton layers to be on the smaller size. I am 5'2, 115lbs, and I got the Large. Yes, it's bigger- but that's what I was after. And honestly, when I put my arms out straight in front of me, the arms are just a titch too long. I got a thicker tech hoodie of theirs in a Medium (the Heron hoodie) and it fits me like a Small. So I sized up for a little extra room- if you want a close tight fit, I would stick with your normal top size.

I got this for my papa for Christmas, and seeing as how he actually wears it, I think he likes it... The fabric is super soft, just as you would expect from Smartwool. It's a nice lighterweight sweater, pairs great over an undershirt. He is 5'11 and 160lb, more broad shoulders. I got him the L, which is what he typically wears, and it's a good fit in the shoulders, arms, and length.

I have been eye-balling these for a while, and am SO happy that I finally have a pair. They are like a little piece of heaven on your feet... SUPER comfy, warm, and they're just solid all around. I love that they have a durable sole- makes it easy to run outside, and it also gives you some grip on slippery floors. The lining isn't itchy at all- a little bit of fuzz comes off here and there, but nothing to be worried about. I am a size 6.5-7 typically, and the 7.0 in these is a perfect fit either barefoot or with a light sock! I literally have worn them every single day since I got them, and have no regrets. It doesn't get better than these!

After the dogs got to his last slippers (literally- full on tug of war between them) it was time to get my man some new ones. I personally have the women's Nasika slipper and am in love, so I decided to upgrade him to a pair of Sorels as well. Definitely a good choice! They are super comfortable, very warm, and they have a very durable sole too. I got him his usual street size 10, and they fit him perfect either barefoot or with a thin sock. If you're looking for a pair of comfy slippers, look no further- these are your ticket!

I got these for my man as a backcountry skiing pole, and the initial tests have been good! The adjustability is great for touring, and so far the locking mechanisms have worked exactly as they should- no loosening by themselves. The grips are comfy enough too. They really aren't super light, so if you're counting grams these may not be your ticket. So far, so good- will update if anything changes!

I am personally not a fan of frumpy robes- I'd prefer to just wear an oversized sweatshirt and leggings at that point. But this robe? This robe... This robe is legitimately amazing and not frumpy in the slightest. It's nice and snuggly- not too thick, but still warm enough to hang around on winter mornings. The fleece lining makes it so cozy! I love the big pockets too. As far as the fit, I think it is right on point. The sleeves fit me well, and the length hits right above the knee. Literally pair this with some slippers, and you might become a perma-hermit...

My little sister LOVES to play in the snow- skiing, sledding, snowman making, you name it. She needed a new pair of pants (I can't believe how quickly these kids grow) and we settled on the Snowbelle girls pants. So far, so good! She's 9y old, a little tall and slim for her age, and the size L is a good fit. They've held up well in the Utah winter as far as waterproofing and warmth goes. All in all, great pants- Patagonia got it right again!

My pops uses this stuff for his numerous pairs of cross country skis, so I decided to stock up his stash. He loves it! Easy on/off and it does very much work. Toko knows what they're doing!

My bf is an expert skier, been skiing for years, and as such has subjected his feet to many pairs of boots. Out of all of them, he says that Salomon fits him the best so we upgraded him to the X Pro 130s. Great decision! He's actually comfortable when he skis now (yes, you can have comfortable feet in ski boots). Stiff flexing boot- great for advanced riders, not so great for those just getting into it. All in all, he says they're super sturdy and comfy- definitely a win!

I got this as a gift, and was super impressed. Super durable ArcTeryx design, the zippers are bomber and still easy to work quickly. As far as fit goes, I had my bf try it on to get an idea on sizing- he is 5'10 and 160lb and was in the Medium. The fit was nice- easy to wear as a casual piece, and also had enough room to layer up for the cold days. All in all, another quality piece from ArcT!
