This is my first year of snowshoeing; I bought the Tubbs Wilderness for women, and though I'm not unhappy with them, I do find that I slip a lot when going uphill and off-trail. I snowshoe exclusively on the mountain; there are some pretty steep and fairly treacherous areas and I'm finding the Tubbs snowshoe a bit difficult to handle. Wouldn't I be better off with a smaller, lighter 'shoe' like the MSR?
