No. Go for a complete transparent/clear lens instead, preferably with an AR coating. There are many and thankfully, debunked myths of orange increasing night vision.

Any color will detract from the total amount/intensity of the light your eyes receive, which will make you see less. Which of course will reduce the amount of detail you see especially in the darker areas of your field of vision.

While merino wool is always very good for warmth, these socks have thinner fabric on top for better breathing. Still they are fairly warm socks, but it really depends on what kind of usage you will make of these.

If you are planning to use them in cold weather you could use a thin sock underneath. If you are looking for something super warm, I'd recommend a heavy sock instead.
