I hiked Springer Mountain with these on my Katahdin anniversary, after one my old push-button Lekis got stolen from right next to me at Trail Days.
The wrist straps on these are super comfy and I'm stoked for another 2,665 miles. Anything that comes with replacement part instructions that include the phrase "smash against a rock or something"- is awesome.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Bought for my brother to day-hike with cause he lost his original. Little brothers do that. Disassembles easily for cleaning. Which keeps little brothers wife happy. Connection point holding up so far. As with all of life, you just have to be smarter than the system. Personally I prefer the old style on/off valve. But the new will do as it's the only half draw-back. I don't leave home with out a camelback reservior, and 70oz is my size of choice. I have 2 of them (Omega style I think). Hydration for the win.
