So I'll just jump right in and get to my biggest point. This great piece of camping equipment. Very functional! BUT!!!! I did a lot of research before getting one and noticed that there are two, maybe more, variations from SOL. In some videos and pictures I have seen there are 4 grommets (one on each corner) and a black hem around the blanket. In others I thought I saw no hem and then after purchasing found no hem and actually 6 grommets (two additional midway down the 7ft side). Regardless...this thing is great. It won't last forever, but for what you pay for it I'd say you get 3 or 4 times its value. So no worries about the variations in production...and I am very happy about the two extra grommets that are not mentioned, pictured, or maybe not included with some of them. A great piece of versatile gear for a good price, regardless of which version you end up with.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this tarp. It is light and versatile. The first time out with it one of the loops ripped out (it wasn't one of the reinforced corners or center loop; those are bomb proof), but ID replaced it really fast, just had to pay the shipping to get it there. The one they sent is doing just fine so I think it was probably an isolated incident. The only real complaint I have is that the tag on the product said that it includes seam sealer for it but the one I purchased here, nor the one they sent to replace it came with seam sealer...Otherwise a great tarp!

A good tent...

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a sound tent. It stands up great in wind and rain if positioned correctly (i.e. not perpendicular to the wind direction), it is pretty simple to set up, and I have beaten it up pretty good (while using a home made ground cloth) and it is still ticking. No major condensation problems at least here in the southeast...The only gripe I would have is that they only offer a ground cloth for it in the UK. Also if you are camping on rocky terrain you might want to consider other methods of staking this one out. To get a taut pitch relies heavily on a good foundation. All in all a good tent for the money.
