This is great for charging my HTC Thunderbolt in the city and in the backcountry. While in town I use Google maps navigation to get bus routes and times as well as listen to my internet radio. On a partly sunny day in Denver the Nomad will charge the phone at the same rate as is uses. In the backcountry I use my phone in "airplane mode" while using GPS for my offline maps. Here, I can typically get 3/4 to a full charge within 3-5 hrs. (while hiking). I usually bring spare batteries, so I can charge about 1.5 batteries a day on normal backcountry day.
