Im 6'2 190-200 lbs, how well would a M fit? Everyone is saying the fit is baggy, so I was thinking maybe sizing down would help that problem? I only intend to layer with a fleece.
How are these for someone who over pronates?
I am loving this jacket right now. Its the time of year where your softshell (BC welder) is too much, your fleece is too hot (Patagonia LW R4) and a short sleeve just isnt enough. That is where this jacket shines. Super light and comfortable and enough insulation to keep me warm on those high 40s to low 50s days. Im 6'1 185 and the medium fits awesome for an athletic fit. I would like maybe another inch in the torso, but its not enough to take away from the overall quality of this jacket. Buy it.
Ive been really happy with this sock. Ive worn them without another sock layer in some single digit temps and my feet have stayed pretty warm. I got them over at SAC and they are definitely worth it at that price, I would have a hard time paying full price though.
She wears it almost everyday. great windproofing, as good as or better than my Patagonia LW R4. Keeps her really warm from about 30 up with minimal windchill. highly recommended. even though the lighter colors tend to get dirty, just keep it clean.
How long are the poles are when folded?
Ive had this bag for over a year now and have a few things to report. The mesh that sits against your back covering the exolite holds heat and sweat in like crazy. On short 4-6 hour day hikes in the summer your back will be soaked. The mesh material is also not durable at all, mine is coming apart along the waist line. The chest and waist strap are mediocre at best. The bag is definitely not waterproof and only water resistant if your not going far. The pros of this bag are that it is great for carrying your schoolbooks and laptop. I use it constantly for traveling on 3-4 nighters to visit friends or family or whatever. Lots of room and very versatile. Perfect for some but definitely not all.
definitely not, I always carry a plastic bag to cover whatever i have on the inside of the pack in case of rain.
I have the R4 lightweight and I prefer it over the other 2 jackets you mentioned, especially for what you plan to use it for. The LW R4 is definitely the most versatile, and imo best looking.
This is my first pair of climbing shoes and i must say they have been great. I got a size smaller than my regular shoe size and they fit perfectly, no blisters and not too cramped. Ive been using these for about a year and they are in need of a resole, but they have been USED. Overall these have been great shoes and I recommend them to anyone.
Are they going to restock their supply? Been waiting months to grab a L rapids to no avail. Any info would be great, thanks.
Ok, let me start off by saying i love this jacket, the fit is great, and the color is awesome (tahoe M 6'2 185). I find myself wearing this jacket more often than not. Now to my complaint. The jacket is just average in its water shedding abilities. I live in Olympia, Wa and after only 15-20 minutes in a light drizzle the shoulders are soaked all the way through as are some spots on the arms. Now i know that this isnt a "waterproof" jacket but i was expecting a little more in a "highly water resistant" jacket. Another complaint has already been mentioned, the fact that there are no velcro wrist straps. As well as the jacket repels the wind a breeze always seems to climb up the sleeves. Therefore i can only recommend this jacket for moderate to light weather, anything more than that and your better off with something else. Though i guess this is the niche market a softshell is fulfilling.
