I'm stoked on this jacket. I first bought a Sapphire S and it was way to small. I'm 5' 6" 140lb so not too big and I usually go with S for any shirt or jacket but the fit of the small for this jacket was way too restrictive. So, I returned that and exchanged for a red medium. The red is hot! It also fits much better. It's not quite as fitted as I would like but I like the fact that I can easily layer up in this thing and the overall quality of this jacket just oozes out so I'm keeping it.

I've only had them for a few weeks and have only gone downhill tele style on them a couple times but so far they are a great all around cross country ski. They fit in groomed tracks just fine and have good climbing grip. They're a little slower than a skinnier ski would be in tracks but I'm going to try some glide wax next time and I'm sure this will help. Even so them being a little slower, they are awesome because of the versatility of being able to go off trail or down slopes and get some bite with the metal edges. Once I ground the edges in it was a very welcome thing I missed from other x-country skis that just slide out when you want to turn.

They still aren't that wide so they won't float too well in the deepy deep but they're good enough for 4-8 inches and the fact that you can hop right back into a track is what I wanted for most of the trails I'm on in southern Wisconsin. I suppose if you're doing anything more serious than casual groomed trails and basic descents these are not the best skis and you'd be better off with a more full on tele or AT setup. But for in the city and just outside skiing in track and out of track when I want they are great!

According to the sizing chart (see above) for anyone above 170lbs. you should be skiing a 190cm but these skis come in 195cm, so that may be your best bet.

Can these skis be used on groomed cross country trails? I.E., will they slide in the tracks without getting stuck? I'm looking to get skis to primarily ski tracked and groomed trails in Wisconsin but would also like the ability to go off trail with confidence. Anybody have any other recommendations?

I wanted a stylish full zip jacket that I could also wear for some mild outdoor activities like running or cross country skiing in the winter and this jacket fits the bill so far.

It has a pretty perfect fit, I'm 5' 6", 130lbs. and its not tight but just right. Could be a little longer.... but it's alright.

The overall comfort and feel and look of this jacket is where it really shines. On the inside you have a thermal like synthetic material that feels nice even with a tee on. And there are soft cuff liners that are comfortable and help keep out the cold. The standard waist sinch cords in the pockets also help with this and are very easy to engage.

The hood has a very solid seal and its not your typical loose style hoody. When you zip it up you got immediate full coverage, but there are no sinches there anyway so this is good. If it's windy and your hat is not cutting the bill, the hood makes for a very welcome extra cover.

The jacket as I mentioned, has a real slick look. It's got some pretty interesting seems and was definitely made for style. I wear this thing in the house when I don't want to crank the heat, and out on the town without a care because I know it looks good.

The only reason I didn't give this jacket 5 stars is because of one annoying feature. When I try to zip up the jacket all the way (with the hood), it 4 out of 5 times gets stuck on the soft zipper guard flap and I have to futz with it to get the zipper past. This can be pretty annoying when its rippin cold and you have to stop for a minute or two just to get the hood up.

Even with that annoying feature, it's still a keeper and it's easily become one of my favorite all around garments. I got a pretty sweet deal on SAC too for under $100. Keep an eye out!
