I am usually a very big fan of Houdini products and they are often well built and have a great fit. The Metropolis shirt DID have a nice fit (L size for a 6'3, 190 lbs guy), but the shirt itself was just kind of odd with a very open neck and very, very thin fabric. Seriously like a plastic produce bag thin, so I had to return it as I just didn't see the point of wearing it as it would have to be seriously layered. Would have been great to carry fruit around in though...

Backcountry, please do continue to stock Houdini though! Its a pain in the rear to try and find it overseas and hope the feedback to continue carrying it reaches you!

Really wanted to like this and work with it, but actually didn't feel like a shirt worth the cost/expected performance. I wonder if much of the cost is all the work in good production/merino locater/etc, which is all great, but maybe just didn't come through on this one shirt specifically. I do plan to try out other Icebreaker products still! It actually did feel a little itchy putting it on as well so not sure on the smooth and soft to the touch aspect! Note: I am taller and slender (6'3, 190lbs) and based off of other reviews, ordered an XL, but this was actually a bit baggy on my frame. Depending on how you like the fit and how you use it, just may want to note this.

Pretty amazing shirt, seriously. I got this on sale, but still feel that i shelled it out. Even so, when you put a shirt like this on, you see what you're paying for and the value added that it will last a very long time. I am 6'3 bout 190lbs, and the large fits so well, its probably the athletic- fit styling that fits guys my size so well as we're usually tall-sized and other outdoor gear can be tricky to fit ( ie i love patagonia, but just never fits taller folks quite right). Overall has nice style with some athletic components to it! Note: the "gobi shadows" color is more of a gray color but appears more brown online.
