I work in an indoor pool setting, so these take a lot of abuse from the chemicals. The print on the straps of these started to peel and flake off after 6 months. They were super comfortable at the very start and they continue to be comfortable, so no problem there. They also look great and the bottle opener has come in handy a time or 2.
View the pic below. It's a "secret" storage compartment.
Big dog = hour hand, Little dot = minute hand. You guesstimate where the numbers are.
Check with the sizing chart to the right of the picture.
No, just transition
The many adjustments on this pack make this comfortable for just about anyone. This pack is very well made. The company is small and takes great care of it's customers and pride in it's products.
Single 7'3"L x 4'W x 3'6"H, 9oz., packs to 5" x 4"
Double 7'10"L x 5'6"W x 4'3"H, 13.3oz., packs to 7" x 5"
You can adjust how high or low they are anchored to the frame (To dial in a custom fit for your torso length), you can also remove them to replace with straps of different widths. I chose to get the wider straps because my chest is a little wider. There are also other options for the hip belt as well. In short, very customizable.
As a lifeguard I have gone through many pairs of flip flops. At first I got Tevas, but they only lasted me a year because the sole would wear down to nothing. Not to mention, the soft foam padding was horrible for support. Then one day my wife bought me a pair of these. At first I was hesitant on the price, but it wasn't long before I knew nothing could compare! These have lasted me over 2 years of very heavy wear, getting wet daily in harsh pool water, beat down by the rays of the sun, hundreds of miles walking, and more. I am around 200 lbs and these give me the support I need to be on my feet and walking all day (on hard and abraisive concrete). They're expensive for only being flip flops, but after my experience I would pay full price any day. Buy these and you'll be spoiled for life.
That would be through the sleeping bag compartment, which has a removable divider. Great pack!
Personally I think the color is a little feminine, but that's not to say that some guys would wear it and it would look great on them. Personal call here.
It could cover you head to toe with a little extra. I know there is a large size as well (59 x 96 inches, 3oz)
This pack has a wide range for torso fit (16-22in), a typical medium fit would be around 18-19. So yes, it would work for you.
It will be more than enough, but you can't go wrong with a big pack.
Yes, it is common for sleeping bags to come with both. You want to store sleeping bags so they can breathe, that is where the storage sack comes in. The Stuff sack is for when you are using it.
It should be a pretty good size. A 35L pack isn't that big and it fits the rule of 45 carry on dimensions (L+H+W is less than 45in)
