Joey Sweeney's Bio

I've been snowboarding for about 10 years and make it my priority to get out as many days as I can during the winter. In the summer you can find me climbing in Little Cottonwood canyon or backpacking and fly fishing around the Uinta mountains. I'm a knowledgeable climber, snowboarder, and backpacker and I love helping people get into the outdoors.

These shorts are great! I bought the size 32 and the fit is spot on. I'm 5ft 11in tall and roughly 150lbs. I swim, run, and hike in these shorts. They dry super fast and can take a substantial beating in the mountains.

This chair is much bigger packed and unpacked than I had anticipated. That being said, this thing is heavy duty! Highly recommend this thing for car camping. Two cup holders and two saddle bags on the arms of the chair hold enough beer and snacks to outlast the latest nights around the fire.

I got these pants for backcountry touring, and have been really impressed. They breath well, have a good amount of stretch, and seem to be durable. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an all around backcountry/winter ridge hopping pant.

This is the second Poler T that I've bought, and I'm glad I went with a large. I love these shirts but they definitely shrink after the first wash. My medium went to a small and my large now fits more like a medium. I would recommend jumping up a size on this particular shirt.

Great Backcountry Jacket

Size Purchased: Medium

This is an excellent jacket for poking around in the backcountry. I've worn it touring a few times, and was really impressed by it's all around stretch comfort and breathability. It fits a little bit short/snug for a backcountry ski jacket, but I haven't had a problem with snow coming in from below. I would definitely recommend this jacket. I typically wear a Patagonia Medium.

Saves space

This is a great space saver, but adjusting the height of the arms is a little strange. We've got two lighter bikes on the top set of arms, and they seem to be supporting the weight just fine. Worth the investment if you have limited storage space in your house.

Works great and can take a fair amount of abuse. This is a staple item in my climbing pack and I don't go on a camping trip without it. There's no reason not to have one of these in your pack, in your car, hell on your head at your desk. Simple and it works!

I love this stove and couldn't imagine my kit without it. Light, durable, fast, and small this thing has it all.

Be careful when you have it attached to a fuel canister and you push down on the lid or the cup. It seems to be a little weak where it connects with the fuel and may bend easily.

There's no reason why you shouldn't own a Jetboil.
