Just got a Heli Pro in the mail, and it's different from what I expected. Apparently, DaKine introduced the Heli Pro DLX and REMOVED some features from the Heli Pro model and moved them to the Heli Pro DLX. Older online reviews talk about features not on the newer Heli Pro. Here are the feature differences from what I can tell.

- DLX has Horizontal snowboard carry (snowboard fits behind back pad). Regular Heli Pro does not allow you to put snowboard behind back pad.
- DLX has adjustable bottom cable loop for ski carry. Regular Heli Pro has non-ajustable webbing loop at the bottom for ski carry.
- DLX hydration tube runs inside insulated strap and can be zippered into a compartment (supposedly prevents freezing). Heli Pro runs the tube outside the strap.
- DLX has a zip out water bottle mesh pocket.
- DLX has a zippered pocked on the hip belt.
Some videos from simplypiste helped me see some of these differences. Hope this helps someone confused by the conflicting feature lists of the heli pro out there.
