I thought this model was going to be much better than the 2012 version, as I own that one and wanted to upgrade. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my standards.

This model is baggier than the last one - I wore a small in last year's but a medium in this. They've also shortened the zipper height around the face so it doesn't go as high up. In addition, they got rid of the hem cinch at the bottom, so you can no longer tighten it.

I wanted this one because it had zip pockets, so I was willing to forego the chest pocket on last year's model for that. That part is a step up, but it'd be nice if the small chest pocket was still here.

Basically, I feel like they got rid of some of the best features of last year's model to put this one out and save a few bucks. I returned it and got the Vars Hoody by Marmot, which is about 100x better than this.

If you want something lightweight and don't mind the downgrades from last year's model, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

I love this hoody. I bought it to replace my 2012 model of the Canyonlands hoody by The North Face, as the 2013 model is different and I don't like the fit.

This is leaps and bounds better than the North Face one. Love the fabric and the fit, and the sleeves are longer so you're not stretching to use the thumb holes. I highly recommend it for everyday use. I'd buy it again...in fact, my better half just got the women's version after experiencing mine (different color and slightly different pattern, thankfully).

I'm 5'11" and 160, and the medium fits great. Note that it is a slim fit...e.g. I wear a small in the Precip jacket, but a medium in this.

These look fairly long and I figured I'd take a chance on them given I own the pants. They're pretty short for my taste - they hit above the knee.

Since I own both the pants and the shorts, I will take the time to say that it annoys me a bit that there's only one side pocket, and that the left-back pocket doesn't close while the right one does.

I still love the fabric and the quality of prAna products and would recommend them if you like your shorts to hit that high.

Oh, sizes...I am a 32-33 waist and I ordered the medium. I don't like my waist to be too snug, and medium does the job for me.

I'm really sad that these will no longer be stocked at backcountry.com, considering they say they're the exclusive US retailer for Norrona.

I was looking for a longer short that's not too baggy, and these look perfect. Unfortunately, barely any sizes/colors are left.

Since it looks like I won't be able to pick these up (no time to wait for an order from Norway), if anyone has any suggestions of alternatives for longer / not baggy shorts, please do tell.
