Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

This jacket is really awesome. I got mine in 2011 for a 1 month backpacking trip in Peru. I used it a lot during that month, then as a rain jacket or windbreaker regularly. I always carried it in my backpack outside of winter. It packs in its own chest pocket, about the size of large orange. The interior of this jacket is soft as skin. In fact, I wore it many times with nothing underneath in-between wakeboard runs (even when I was still a bit wet, it never felt clammy at all). It breathes really well at the expense of maybe not being the greatest of windbreaker.
I am 5'10'', 165lbs with broad shoulders and the Medium fit perfectly. Rather athletic fit with just enough room to wear my Stoic Luft underneath.

After a year and a half of good use, I decided to wash it a treat it with DWR as it was getting dirty (mine was white with orange accents) and wetting-out in a few areas (though water never got through). Unfortunately, washing it (on gentle cycle and using Nikwax techwash) resulted in the inner layer delaminating in many areas, especially around the seams on the shoulders and chest. Maybe washing it in a front-loading machine could've prevented this, but this flimsy looking jacket did end up being flimsy. Other shells and jackets have gone through the same washing cycle with no problems at all.

It was my favorite jacket ever before that happened though...

Marmot did replace it under warranty, but for various reasons I got an Aegis instead.

Pros :
- Extremely light and packable.
- Feels like a second skin
- Excellent breathability
- Completely waterproof when it's not damaged
- Looks awesome

Cons :
- Delaminated in the washing machine!

Are these tailored to sit higher on the waist than regular snow pants? I'm looking for pants that'll be better at preventing snow from entering than regular pants. So far it's either the Special Blend Annex with the waist gaiter or Ride pants with zip interface to my jacket (which isn't that long, I fear my pants will be to high)... or these?
