I have had the synmat 7 for a couple of years now. I haven't had a night yet where I could feel anything under me but a cushion of air. If you have concerns about the durability of this mat, don't. It has held up to high country abuses for the last few years and is still going strong
the only feature of this mat that I am not thrilled about is the integrated pump. it takes a lot of work (around seventy pumps) to get the mat where I want it. It sure beats blowing it up though.

I looked for an ultralight sleeping bag for a long time and eventually settled on the Montbell superspiral #3. when I first got the bag I was concerned about the light materials it is made from. Those fears are completely gone after a season of use in the Colorado high country. I have used this bag and been comfortable into the 20's on some nights. the stretch fabric is amazing for a side sleeper like me! I haven't seen many bags out there that will give you the warmth for the weight that the superspiral does. The only down side is the price, but in my opinion it is completely worth the money.

This bag is the best! I ordered it from backcountry mainly because of their return policy.Thank you backcountry! I used the bag on a 3 day trip to Holy Cross wilderness where nighttime temps dropped to around 25. I was so TOASTY in this bag. I am usually on the cold side when I sleep out. with this bag I was in shorts and a t-shirt and I still had to open the side zipper. Strange feeling for me, but I would say this bag will definitely go lower than the degree rating. I have the 800 fill bag and it packs down smaller than a nalgene for me in a compression sack. I can't say enough about the super spiral. You feel like you have so much room and like I said, its toasty. This bag is worth the money.
