Jane Hwang's Bio

My love of the outdoors came from skiing in Utah at Alta Ski Resort every weekend with my dad. I started when I was 5 and haven't quit. I also spend my time Climbing A LOT, camp, hike and travel with my two favorite people in the whole entire world my boyfriend (GURU: Grant Kates) and our puppy Yuki.
Traveling is another passion of mine. I love wandering and getting lost in new cities and places. I have lived in Italy and Brazil. I have been all over Europe, South America and Asia. I am always looking for new adventures.

When it's too hot for waders these are the best solutions! They are not only comfy but super durable. I would highly suggest them for anyone that fishes in the desert and wants to avoid being trapped in a wader sauna. Anyway as you can tell we love these socks at backcountry.com and we know you will too. Same as Alyssa I got the smalls because they don't offer a XS and I just wear extra socks to make them fit a bit more snug. :D

Sorry I know such a silly title but seriously the best sleeping bag I have ever had. Great for summer and fall/early winter camping. I got this bag because my boyfriend has one but has a left zip so I got the right so we can zip them together. I love being able to have the room to move and snuggle up with my boo! The best part is that at the end of the day I still have my own bag if I want to go off on my own adventure. I highly suggest this for casual camping. It's a bit too heavy for backpacking.

I love the design of these sandals. They are my first pair so I didn't know how long the break in time was. Apparently it's like super long. I would recommend wearing socks with it while you are breaking them in. I have some gnarly sores on the tops of my feet that make me look like a stigmata victim. Other than that the foot beds are incredibly awesome and again I love the design. I just wish they didn't hurt my feet so! LOL

So this skirt look super cute but it is so incredibly soft! You can dress it up or down and it will get the same results. I've gotten tons of compliments on it and it's my go to skirt for going out or hanging out. I love the way it drapes and is asymmetrical. I would highly recommend this skirt for someone who wants sometthing just a bit above simple. Also it is not as sheer as the picture makes it to be.

I got this as a gift for my brother. He commutes to work everyday and I wanted to keep him safe! This helmet is safe but also super light and breaths! so carrying it to his locker at work is a breeze and he doesn't have to worry about overheating!

So when it come to cargo boxes size totally matters. I saw the 12 and thought it was way to small so we went with the 16! I'm so glad that we decided to get the bigger box! It's huge! I'm so stoked to use it this winter and not get my car all scratched up! also for camping this summer so we have more room for the dog and other camping essentials! Installation was a breeze if you already have bars on your car (Rav4) and not to mention that the color of the carbonite is super sleek so it doesn't look tacky when it's on your car! the material is way strong and durable. Also did I mention that it is super areo dynamic? so great on gas. There is a hit on MPG but not by that much! Pics are soon to come! I would totally recommend this topper if you are looking to maximize carrying stuff from one place to another!

so my boyfriends rod got stolen (i know so sad) and he needed a replacement. I got him this one and he loves it. If you need to buy that fisherman in your life a gift this rod is perfect! He loves how light it is and that is has it's own case. You can't beat the price either!

There are other self lockers that you can spend your money on. I would not recommend this as a locker to use on a climb. The only thing that I would use this for is maybe with your ATC device but you might stuffle getting if off of you. It's really difficult to unlock in general. I wouldn't even use these for my keys. If you need recommendations on a locking biner look at the screw gate version of this or ANY other Petzl biner that they have.

These guys are great! They are lightweight, Small and they are so easy to clip! There is no hook on the nose to get the rope stuck on or keys! I have a bunch of these suckers for climbing and one for my key ring. Also did I mention that there is no chance for the rope to sleep over the biner? The way the gate sinks into the nose of the biner makes it so that it is virtually impossible to open and take something off without opening the gate past the notch it sits in on the noce. So no worries about that when you are projecting that super hard route! seriously you can use these guys for anything!

So my mom is getting older and so steeper hikes without assistance are hard on her. With these trekking poles she does fantastic.! Also with the shocks absorbing a lot of the impact it is not hard on her hands. I recommend them for any outdoorsy mom that is needs a little more help.
