Jaima's Bio

First and foremost, I would call myself a runner. I love to run and try to race a couple times a year, anything from a 5k to a half marathon (tried a full once and don't plan on doing that again!).
In the winter you can usually find me at Brighton on the weekends, casually snowboarding with friends.
In the summer I will probably be out on a bike. I prefer my road bike, but my mountain bike sees more action on days I want to get out of the city. Luckily for me, even my road rides take me through the scenic canyons of the Salt Lake valley.
I just wish there were more days in the week. I never feel like I get to run or ride enough!

I absolutely love wearing this jersey! The colorful pattern caught my eye, but the fit, fabric, and performance made it one of my favorites. I have worn this in temps in the low 50's and found it to be more than adequate. The fabric breathes beautifully and dries quickly, so you won't feel cold and clammy on your cool weather rides.

The best gear is the gear that lets you participate in an activity without thinking about anything but your performance. By that criteria, this is one of the best cold weather jerseys out there. I wore this while racing cyclocross and didn't think about it once during the race. Nothing pulled, pinched, or left odd areas exposed. The buttery soft material kept me warm without overheating. Love the fit and the design lines. I'm 5'6" and about 135lbs and got this in a medium.

This has got to be one of the most comfortable running skirts I have ever worn! The fabric is super soft. The design and construction of this piece are very well thought out. The waistband is flat and wide (cutting down on muffin top appearances), the inner shorts don't ride up, and the length is perfect for me. If I could wear this every day to the gym, I would. Pair it with the Skyline v-neck top and prepare to look and feel your best!

I love this top! This is my new go-to gym top. The fabric is very light and seems to wick sweat pretty well (I sweat a lot and this doesn't get drenched or heavy, even on long runs). The v-neck is very flattering and the seamless construction means it has never chafed me (even under the arms). The color and floral pattern make this one of the more girly work out shirts I own, but that kind of makes me like it even more!

So far so good. These shoes fit true to size (I usually wear a 9.5 in running shoes and these were perfect). The sole felt pretty hard the first time I put them on, but after the first run, my feet and arches felt supported. I don't overpronate, so they do feel like they have a little more stiffness than I'm used to, but I just found out my knees sort of collapse inward when I run, so I'm hoping these might help with that by maybe encouraging my foot position to change a little bit.
These shoes are in Saucony's lightweight category and just because the description here says they "cushion and support every stride" doesn't mean they have anywhere close to the amount of cushioning that traditional cushioned shoes have, so if you're looking for cushioning, these are probably not the shoes for you. They're just marginally beefier than minimalist shoes. Even so, I like them and am pleased with their overall performance so far.

This has got to be the cutest top from prAna's Spring 12 collection. The colors are amazing (personal favorite is the charcoal/coral combo)! One thing you might want to know is that even though the description says it comes with a shelf bra, it doesn't. You can see by the construction and straps that there is quite a bit of support up top, but there is not an extra liner or anything. I'm a 34B and got the small and it fits great! I like my tops to multitask, so I tried to wear this running and while it had enough support, the wide straps kind of chafed my armpits. As adorable as it is, this will probably be a low impact sport only top for me. It still gets five stars though: it's styling, color, fabric, and quality are all top notch!

These are the best running socks, in my opinion. They are pretty much the only socks I wear if I am wearing shoes that require socks. My husband bought me four pair for Christmas last year and they all still look brand new! The cushioning is just right, the color combinations are great, and they seem to last longer than other, cheaper socks. SmartWool knows socks for sure!

I love so many things about this tank, but the cute strap design in back is too long for my torso, doesn't lay flat against my back, and bunches funny. The fabric is amazing, the fit is fantastic (34B, and I got the small- I find it to have enough support for a lifting session at the gym or a yoga class), and the pattern is unique. I got tons of compliments on it, but wish the back fit me better.

These are the perfect yoga pants for me! I love the relaxed fit, straight leg, and flat waistband. I think these are a universally flattering pant. They are soft and stretchy and have performed equally well in the gym and at the yoga studio. I'm 5'6" and about 135lbs and the mediums fit me well.

I love the fuzzy softness and the insane amount of warmth this thing generates, but I am also in the camp that thinks the chest seam is just high enough to impact the size of the head hole, which means I usually mess up my hair when I wear this. Has that stopped me from wearing it? NO. But it does annoy me enough to not want to give this jacket a 5 start rating. The fit is great, the colors are great, the kangaroo pocket is extremely helpful, I just wish they'd redesign the placket and increase the size of the head opening.

This dress is such a fun dress! The belt makes it easy to cinch and show off your waist (or let it out after a big lunch!), the cap sleeves show off your toned and tanned arms, the pockets make carrying your wallet and lip gloss super easy and the neckline is just deep enough to show off just about any necklace. Dressed up or down, this dress is versatile indeed!

This was one of my favorite tops this past winter. The wool is super soft and comfortable. The details (especially the flattering color blocking and thumb loops) guaranteed I got compliments every time I wore this, both casually and while snowboarding. I find SmartWool's products run true to size (I am typically a medium and the medium in this fits great).
