Jackie Paaso's Bio

I'm a professional big mountain skier and outdoor enthusiast. I spend my winters traveling on the Freeride World Tour checking out exciting ski spots in between. When the snow is gone you can find me on my mountain bike!

My first pic for the comps

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This ski has been my go to ski for competing on the Freeride World Tour ever since I got on it. It's a great powder ski, yet it will handle skied out and choppy snow. Unless I know for sure the whole mountain is skied out this is my top choice any day on the mountain!

Great touring ski

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

When I first switched to the ZeroG's I was so surprised how light they felt underneath me while touring. I was even more surprised how solid they felt on the way down! I want a ski that's not too heavy for the trip up the mountain yet solid enough for any line I choose on the way down. With these skis I feel confident to take on any conditions.

If you are looking for a great all mountain, hard charging ski the Cochise is the call. They work great in a variety of conditions and are in my opinion a really fun ski! When I know I'll have powder on some parts of the mountain and hard packed on other parts I choose these skis for the day.

Great shirt

Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fit: True to size

This shirt has a great relaxed yet feminine fit and is made of nice soft fabric. It's in my weekly rotation of workout shirts! I use it for hiking, biking, training etc.. The X cool fabric keeps me nice and dry and the UPF 40 protection is great to have for those sunny training days!

I use this mostly for training days out on the trail or at the gym during the colder months or chilly mornings. It has a nice fit and it's stretchy so you don't ever feel restricted when wearing it. I especially love the thumb holes. Perfect for when you need a little extra warmth for your hands.

I've made these pants my go to pants for when I don't know what adventures the day will lead me on. They are comfortable for hiking, biking, etc... yet stylish enough that you can wear them around town or while traveling and not feel like you just stepped off the mountain.

It may not be the lightest touring ski on the market but if you want something that performs like your everyday ski on the way down this is the one! It's lighter to help you get up there faster but solid enough that you can feel comfortable skiing anything you might encounter in the backcountry. I really enjoy having these as my touring skis!

When I first got on a pair of the Cochise I wasn't sure how it was going to be. I had been skiing on Kastle previously and I was using Dal Bellos as well. The Cochise I tried with a pair of R9.3 Tecnicas. Having a mogul skiing background it was my first time on race boots. The first run I made with the Cochise I knew I was on a great ski! By the end of the day I was sold on the Blizzard Cochise. It's a great all mountain ski that can charge!

It had snowed a lot more than expected the first time I tried out this ski. I decided I wanted something a little bigger than the Cochise. First day on these skis I won the FWT14 stop in Chamonix. They were perfect for powder, tracked out powder and stomping big cliffs. After that contest these were pretty much my everyday ski!
