Jack L's Bio

Being an extremely active outdoor enthusiast since I was very young, I have been privileged to enjoy experiences with many types of outdoor activities and the associated gear. I enjoy: hiking, cycling mountain climbing, canyoneering, fly fishing, running, skiing and traveling. I am a Certified Lead Climbing Instructor - Boy Scouts of America and am presently completing ACA Canyon Leader Training. I've organized extended unsupported cycling trips; lead multiple groups of friends, youth groups and family on various excursions to Zion National Park, Moab, UT, Escalante UT, Wyoming, and Montana; Canyon Leader for multiple BSA group outings; organized numerous backpacking trips for adults and youth. Have competed and finished the Deseret News Marathon, Payson Marathon, and Heber Valley-1/2 Ironman Triathlon.

Travel experience includes extensive travel in North America, Japan, Australia, Europe, Central America and Canada.

With my varied experiences I have learned the significance of the right gear and the need for that gear to be of high quality. Sharing that experience and background with others, helping them find the right solution to their gear needs is extremely enjoyable - almost as enjoyable as doing the activity, almost.

This headlamp does everything it says it does! It is extremely bright and the battery life is incredible! You can not beat the rechargeable aspect of this light. I've already saved a ton of money on batteries and feel a whole lot better about not having to throw away so many batteries!

These things come in serious handy for so many things! They are durable and sturdy. I use them for my bikes on my bike rack so that the bikes aren't banging around and it works great. They are quick and easy to get around most anything!

With the easy access to chalk, the 2 storage pockets and the power seal closure you can't beat this chalk bag. I've loved that I no longer have to worry about my chalk falling out into my bag and getting all over everything.

This light weight and durable rope bag surely does its job. Its helped keep my rope clean and is easy to quickly roll your rope up and be on the trail. This bag is ideal for short approaches. I have found that for longer approaches the shoulder strap can get a little bit uncomfortable after a while.

This adaptor makes for a quick and easy solution for those of us that have run into the problem of putting a bike with a newer frame onto our hitch bike racks. Its very easy to put onto your bike and get off of your bike. It makes putting bikes on the rack a lot easier!

This is the perfect water bottle to bring on longer day hikes and outings. Its bigger than most and if you fill it with ice in the morning before setting out, chances are your water will still be very cold by the end of the day. Its very durable. Only downfall is it is a bit heavy.
