A True Masterpiece
5 5

The technology and craftsmanship put into this splitboard is amazing. Splitboards have come a long way in providing that "solid" board feel when riding, and with my 15 years riding experience, I really feel this board is the cutting edge. I am amazed at how light the board is, very responsive in tight trees and while billygoating big technical lines and the fact that NS added their custom rocker and camber to a split is unrivaled. It can handle anything you can. I have ridden the solid version of this board for years as well. For those that don't know, the boys at NS have been custom making splitboards for over 15 years. When it comes to quality and bomb proof boards, you can't beat NS!

Couldn't ask for a better pack
5 5

Thought I'd write a review of this bad boy after owning it for about 3 years. I've backpacked for about 12 years, and this is the best pack I've had so far. I won't get into all the technical bells and whistles because everyone has their own opinion on that stuff. I've used this pack for ski mountaineering and general wilderness backpacking. I have spent entire days with this pack wading up rivers, sneaking around casting to wary trout while nearly forgetting I had 65 lbs. on my back. Moderate to long alpine trips in the Rockies, 2 months in the New Zealand bush, light loads to massive loads, it really does it all while keeping you as comfortable and pain free as you can be while hauling around a bunch of weight on your back. Don't fret over the price either, worth every last penny.

I've only had these pants for a couple months, but I've used them quite a bit and they are BADASS. I'm a big splitboarder/ backcountry enthusiast and the articulated knees allow for great mobility with a kind of roomy feeling, yet the pants maintain a nice "regular" fit, which is perfect while skinning. I'm 5 10", 150lbs. with about a 31" waist and the smalls fit me perfect. Another great patagucci product!

Nice Jacket for backcountry and/or warm and wet days on a ski area
4 5

I got this jacket specifically for my backcountry kit. It is pretty light, and the GoreTex keeps you nice and dry and the wind out. It also has a pretty slim fit, especially for a jacket. I'm 5 10", 150 lbs. and the small fits me absolutely perfect. The only downside to that is it doesn't leave too much room for layering, but a base layer or 2 and my patagucci down vest fits just fine underneath.

That being said, I would not recommend this jacket for skiing groomers on really cold days at a ski area or any situation where you aren't generating a good amount of body heat and would need lots of insulation or lots of layering. The fit is a bit tight I guess but it suits my build fine. If you are thick or lift lots of weights I would definitely try a couple sizes on before ordering it. I rated the jacket 4 stars because I haven't had the chance to test it in a super heavy storm yet.
