Unreal Boot
5 5

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

last day I did a 100+ day season on the k2 pinnacles, which fell apart on me and when they started to cause foot pain after my first day this season I threw in the towel and fitted up a pair of these.

These are lighter, stiffer and a better fit, I love them. I'm 190cm and around 80kgs in full gear and ski fast and aggressive in any snow condition and terrain. I find the boot is definitely stiff enough for me with great power transmission.

I also have done a bit of touring with them, and i'm surprised at how light they are for such a burly boot. They are definitely lighter than the pinnacle and have more ROM which I find is adequate. I recently did a bc trip to the top of Mt Yotei near Niseko and found them very comfortable to tour in for the 5 hour climb, and unreal on the decent. I was using my heavy guardians so my set up wasn't light, but paired with a tech binding weight shouldn't be a huge issue compared to the downhill performance you will have.
In all, an awesome, confidence inspiring boot for both resort and backcountry skiing #takeyouthere

Awesome, but don't break

I'm 190cm tall and 75kg heavy, and I ski on the 190 length. Wow, what a skis. This is my daily ski, in-bounds and out, and it performs well on all snow types and terrain types for me. They are unreal in powder, easy to pivot in moguls, carve awesome on groomers and are great in chop and crud as long as you aren't nuking through heavy crud. They are super light and nimble and are great for touring.
Unfortunately one ski snapped due to it hitting a log under the snow (I would have expected most other skis too). Bummer. Rossignol agreed to warranty the skis, and told me 1 month. 2 months later they told me two weeks. After that they finally got back to me to tell me I would not get the skis till next season. Not impressed with this situation and their lack of communication, not returning emails and not having answers when I called. I am giving 5 stars purely based on the ski
If you want a one ski quiver for both in and out of bounds, this is your ski. But I question whether I would go with this company again.

I usually get cold hands and bought these gloves to use on days ranging from -15 to 0+ celcius. I wore these in -20c one day while skiing and my hands where not warm at all. All the other features are awesome. The closure system is tidy and works great, they are very waterproof and the leather is durable and looks great. In all, an awesome glove for an awesome price!
